Angelwood Assisted Living

Everything is good, all the cooks there are wonderful. The Activities Director is great, we just love everything about it, they have special activities every month and almost every day for the residents. The healthcare staff seems to really care about the residents, we just really appreciate them.

My grandmother has lived there for six years and the managers do anything for her. I couldn’t ask for better people. If she doesn’t like what they serve in the dining room the wait staff always accommodate her and find something else. They always have something for her to do and she seems to enjoy what activities she does. Sometimes they'll do some ceramic painting or jewelry making or quilt making, and the staff sits and does puzzles with them, they're very interactive. Her place is always clean. She likes to do her laundry and clean, but they make sure she doesn’t over do. She likes to dust, they clean her bathroom and everything else. If she needs anything like a light bulb changed or her TV worked on, the maintenance guys always come and help. The building is nice and clean. If I can’t take her to an appointment they take her, or to the store. We've had no issues transportation there. The care givers are very caring. If they notice anything different with her they always let me know. Sometimes her medication can affect her mental status and they always let me know, it's a wonderful crew. The community and employees are great. It's a fair price for all that.

The management staff is very kind. The food is really good. The maintenance man does an awesome job. We have been very, very pleased. The staff keeps in touch with me and if there is anything my mom needs they let me know. They are like family.

I think this is a wonderful community and we have been very pleased with the care my grandmother has gotten there. She does bingo and they take them every so often to the casino in town which she enjoys. I hear her talking about bingo the most but I am sure there are other activities. The laundry is good and maintenance gets to things immediately. The transportation is fine as is the care. I think it is worth it.

We try to go down and sit with my mom when she eats and it looks good to us. They have a clothes basket in her bathroom and housekeeping washes her clothes every Monday. The maintenance seems to be pretty good. Her hospital bed wasn't working properly but when I told them about it they got it taken care of. I think the care is good and the management is okay. I don't like the price but with everything they have to do with mom it is fine.
