Bellingham

My mom is comfortable here, she is clean and she is well take care of. The activities here are excellent. There is a good variety and good engagement. I think the housekeeping is excellent. The care staff are always pleasant. They always know all about her. I think they genuinely express their love and care for her. It far exceeds my expectations.

We are glad we came back and gave it another look because had we not we would have really missed a lot. The change is very positive and it there is something about it that is very different in a very positive way. We appreciate the low entry fee and things are straight forward, there aren't any tricks or catches. We didn't have to buy in and wonder what was going to come out the other end. We feel extremely fortunate with mom's apartment. It is in a perfect space in the building. The design of the space, the natural light available, is outstanding. It has spaciousness without being overwhelming to her. The management seems to be connected, communicative and know what's going on here. They are with it. From what I see, the food is well thought out and well presented. It looks like there is a good array and variety of things to do in activities. Moving in, housekeeping had everything spotless, clean, fresh and ready to go. Whatever they are doing, keep doing it or keep pursuing it, they're on the right track.

I am happy with my father living at Bellingham because the services are satisfactory and he is happy with his apartment. In terms of the dining experience, he is satisfied with the variety of menu, quality of food and he has been very pleased with the dining service. While he does his own laundry, the housekeeping staff keeps up with his bedding and his room is kept clean. I am satisfied with the maintenance of his apartment, the building and the maintenance staff has always been very helpful to him. Unfortunately my father doesn't participate in a lot of activities, but there are opportunities for the residents to engage in. Overall, it's been a fine experience for him at the community.

My mom is very pleased with the food and the service is good. In regards to the activities, they try and do a lot of different things. I think that is great. The housekeepers and the cleaning crew do a great job and they go out of their way because my mom is debilitated. My mom is very happy there.

Management seems to be on top of things. The activities look pretty robust to me but my dad doesn't really partake in the activities. From what I can tell, it looks like you guys try hard with the activities. The food is decent and they seem to be reliable in delivering it when my dad orders it. The housekeeping and laundry services are very good. There hasn't been any major maintenance needs but they seem like they're doing a good job. It seems like a really good value to me relative to that type of environment.

My brother-in-law looked at a few places four years ago, and compared to other places we viewed, the value is excellent. He seems happy with the food and the activities are good. Maintenance has been helpful and housekeeping has gotten better. The availability of the medical personnel, that's been a real plus. I did see they redid one elevator, that's another plus. Our experience has been it's the right fit.

I have no complaints with management. If I request something they do it for me. They have a pretty good variety on the menu and if you request something else that isn't on the menu they will get it for you. I am very satisfied with the dining. They have quite a few activities to participate in. The bus service and bus driver are very nice. He is very considerate and will help those on and off that need it.

When I told people I work with mom was moving to Bellingham a few months ago, a lot of people knew it and recommended it. It reinforced we made the right decision. Oh my god, the maintenance guys are awesome. Mom moved in on a Saturday. There were a few things not done, but by Monday they swarmed her apartment and everything on the list was done. There's a cracked window and they've ordered a replacement. They have been sweet, really nice guys. The grounds look good. Driving up it looks beautiful, even her friends visiting say that. It does look a little dated inside, but they're going to do renovations and it's always clean. My mom loves the food. She gets one meal a day so she goes down at dinner. I am super excited she's getting out of her apartment every day. She's loved it and talks about it all the time. The servers are all very nice. One night she went down ate, and one of the servers came and sat with her so she wouldn't be alone. He sat with her and chatted with her the whole dinner. It was super-sweet and made me feel good she wasn't alone. Communication has been great with management, from the very first emails I sent to the sales manager. I think, for what she's paying, she seems to be thriving. The value is there.

I absolutely feel like this community is a good value. My mom speaks highly of the management staff. She is participating in more and more things with activities. I think maintenance does a good job and she is happy with the quick response time they have. Regarding transportation, she just uses it for the trips they take. I haven't heard any complaints so I would say this is good.

I think he was happy and it was a good place for my dad. They are doing a bunch of construction improvements and they keep the place pretty well maintained. The care staff seemed to take care of my dad. I think they did well and he seemed pleased. As near as I could tell the housekeeping was fine. I think we were fine with the dining and he didn't complain about the food.
