Bentley Assisted Living at Branchville

Management is very attentive to the needs of my parents. They're very easy to work with, very accomodating, they keep in touch with us with every little thing that my mom might require and they inform us of everything they do. I can't say enough about the management. I visit and eat with my mother during the lunches and I think they do a wonderful job in the dining room. The woman running the kitchen knows my mom by name and comes out to give her a hug, what else can you ask for? Ralph in maintenance is top notch. This is like a senior resort and my mom says she has everything she needs there.

I’ve been here three years and the place is clean and help is nice. The managers are all very pleasant all the time, never give any nasty little comments or anything like that. I am friends with every single one of them. All the servers and those who help in the kitchen are very nice, they're all nice kids. I guess the activities are all right, sometimes they have entertainment which I like. Housekeeping is very excellent. They are very, very clean. Pick up the laundry, do the laundry, bring it back folded, all I have to do is put it away. The whole place is clean, very clean. It’s a good value, I feel safe here and I am comfortable.

I just like the variety of recreational things for them to do. They bring the family to do some things and I think that is great. The care my mother-in-law gets from the care staff is good.

My loved one has been there, safe and comfortable, for almost five years. She's got a nice little room, more space than most in Memory Care. It’s beautiful, well kept, and clean. She likes the food. She never complains about it. I think they turn the menu over every six weeks and every now and then they come up with a surprise dish. One day she had shrimp was out of her mind with happiness. The staff caters to her. There are plenty of activities. From what I hear from my loved one, management seems to meet her needs. As far as I know they're respectful and knowledgeable. She raves about housekeeping. She uses the transportation service there occasionally. They have been bringing her to doctor's appointments so I am glad they offer that service. She says she never has problems rising on it, so the vehicle itself I think is fine. The care givers are excellent; they’re very attentive to her. They go above and beyond what they need to do. They're friendly and stop to chat with her. She's happy there. She is content; she's satisfied with pretty much everything.

There is always something going on with activities here. They had the Cowherd's come in and sing to them once a week and different activities like that We had them do her laundry and it was very good. We had her name on everything and every piece came back. The dining service was bountiful and the food was very good. Nothing was turned away. Every time that put a meal in front of my wife she cleaned it up. I think the management was very good at dealing with people. The care staff took care of my wife very well there.

It's about five miles from my house so the convenience, we live in a small town so knowing there was a place that specialized in Alzheimer's and Dementia so close to my house was very appealing. It's in a beautiful area in the country, it's really, really pretty. I'm pleasantly surprised because I didn't think that the tiny town that I live in would have a place that does such a nice job of taking my dad in and making him feel so wonderful. Management is very informative, everybody knows the residents there and are just very in tune with what's happening with everybody, they seem very genuinely concerned, interested and engaged with everybody there. That's a sign of a great management to me because everybody is involved in the residents and you can see that, everybody is very genuine and that shows. My dad loves the food so much and the staff is so friendly and very courteous, just genuine. There's always a nurse on site when the residents are eating. The nursing staff is exceptional, they know my dad so well, they're there 24/7 and if he has any issues at any time of the day or night, they're right there. They're just awesome; everybody is so friendly and so nice. We looked at a place that was much, much more expensive than Bentley and had a lot more residents, it was a lot bigger, and I feel like for the price Bentley is and the attention and care he's getting at Bentley, it far outweighs and exceeds what the other places had to offer. I think he's getting better care and more attention than the bigger places so I'm very happy with the cost and value, it's all very, very worth it.
