Bentley Commons at Bedford

The nurses were super people. The care was awesome and I can't say enough about how kind and caring they were. My father loved Tom and everyone was very nice and caring to my father. Amy and the nurses were awesome people and were great in taking care of my father, they all did an awesome job. My dad was in the choir, played shuffle board and played poker, he was very active. The building was always neat and clean, I never saw anything out of place.

The management that I've dealt with has been good and your sales person, Donna, is absolutely top notch. The healthcare staff are very good, whatever I ask for I get. The servers in the dining room are outstanding as well. I haven't been to all of the activities but the ones I've been to have been very good. They give me a list of activities every morning.

My father is very happy there. The management staff are always around if I need them and the dining service is great.

I am satisfied here and have no reason to leave. The management works hard. If any residents have any problems, we raise them and they take care of it. This community has knowledgeable employees in the dining room. If there is something that is on the menu and you don't know what it is, they will give you an explanation. They are respectful when doing that. Everything is in fine and in order in the building and the staff tries hard to please the residents. The caregiver always have a smile on their face and they are friendly. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable.

The nurses and techs and aides are all friendly. I am probably there four or five times a week and they all know me. They're keeping her active. For mom the food is excellent, and they always get two choices at dinner and lunch. The managers have been very pleasant and helpful with process of getting my mother in, getting her settled, and overall they get things done.

My dad often says to me "this is best place for me at this stage in my life. They take care of me and are always looking in on me and those kinds of things." The people that have been in place have been easy to deal with and very responsive to any need that I've had. I know that Evan and the guy that was in charge of maintenance has always been right on top of things if I needed something. All the nurses are good and attentive to him. I think that is all taken care of nicely.

We highly value this community. I think Amy, the director, the caregivers and the front desk staff do a remarkable job. She remembers everybodies appointments and she makes everybody who walks up to the desk feel important. The meals are good, they have a good variety and the servers are great. Housekeeping does a great job. I never have to go in and clean after them and the woman who cleans his room is great. We have never had a problem with the laundry. They pick it up one day and return it the next day. The building looks great both inside and out. It has a great exterior look.

Amy Murry, from management, has been very responsive. Any time something is wrong the care staff will call immediately. My Aunt eats like a horse. I think the food is why she's still hanging in there, she eats so well. We did a little comparison and the location and value was equal or better. Bentley has more things included and we liked the way they have things structured.

My parents love the Administrator, they only have high praise for her. I've run into her and she's a peach to deal with, no problems at all. The new Activities Director is making some positive changes. The housekeeper they have is outstanding, my parents love her. The girl cleans off the counters, cleans the corners, the bathroom, vacuums, and takes the trash out. They do a great job. I think the value is good. I have two friends from high school who asked me about Bentley Commons, and their parents moved in in the last month, and my sister-in-law's parents live there too, so we've brought three groups of people in.

It was recommended from Bedford Hills where she was previously and you helped streamline the process, we only had a week to find a place and it was cost efficient so that's why we put my mom there. From what I have seen, the dining seems to be great and maintenance is fine. Day to day, I think the care has been great. Overall, I think the value is great.
