The Breakers at Edgewater Beach

I have lived at The Breakers at Edgewater Beach since September of 2017. I really think management is on top of things and the quality of the department heads is very high. The activities are just outstanding. We have two full time Directors and they just exploit the environment here in Chicago like nothing I have ever seen. They are creative, very responsible and it's really quite amazing. I have used maintenance a couple times and they were very creative and satisfactory. We do our own laundry, but the machines are kept clean and they function. Other than that, I have no complaints. I like it here.

My father has lived at The Breakers at Edgewater Beach since August of 2009. I haven't had to call management lately, but in the beginning they were very responsive so I am very pleased with them. He says the food is very good and every time that I am there visiting him during the meals, the food smells really good. The dining staff is very professional and everything is clean. The housekeeping was always impeccable. I always feel welcome there, everything is bright and sunny.

She lived in another community before, and this one far exceeds it in both kindness of the staff and the price. It's a much greater value for the price. I haven’t had any problems with them, and management does a good job. My mom likes the food very much and she says that housekeeping is good. I think it's a nice building overall.

My father lives at the community and so far everything seems fine. There is one lady in management, Lynn, and I think she does a great job. He likes a lot of the entertainment. He never has any complaint about the cleanliness or maintenance of his room. I think everything seems okay.

My friend had a fall and was in the hospital, she was really surprised about how many friends she had made at the community evident by how many people reached out to her to see if she was okay. Lynn and Eva at the front desk are amazing. I think the value is fair for what is being received.

I moved in rather recently and the management has been good so far. I think the food is very good, much better than I thought it would be, and I'm satisfied. Everything has been good, they work hard, and for me it’s fine. It looks like they have a nice variety of activities. Maintenance helped fix my window and get my TV set up. Overall, it's much better than I thought it would be.

The administrative staff is very responsive. The lady that heads up housekeeping is responsive and is helping me to resolve anything. They are doing everything well. We have no concerns with the way things are being executed. They do a good job of sending stuff to me as my aunt's power of attorney.

It's now been about a year since we moved my mom into the community. My mom doesn't really participate in the activities, but I think there is a lot of stuff. We haven't had any issues in regards to housekeeping. For where she is at, it has been a good place for the most part.

I think the building and grounds are well-maintained, and I love the furnishings. I love the mix of nationalities here. The management team answers all my questions, and management tries to figure out what I need. I love the movies that are offered. They do a beautiful job with the housekeeping. I haven’t had any housekeeping in my life before this, but I love what they do here. I come in and my place looks great. The view is absolutely spectacular, and the surroundings are just beyond.

My aunt's apartment is always clean. I'd say it's very good throughout the building. It's so attractive and light in every room. I think that's important for Chicago in winter. Everybody has been nice and everything has gone smoothly. The activities are amazing, I can't believe when I see the newsletter. It's just been such a good place for her.
