Emerald Springs

The staff all are excellent. I love the music so I make sure I go down for that. I came from another community and it's 100% better than there. The service is also excellent. I always have two or three things to choose from on the menu. There's excellent servers. They're young people but they have the patience of saints. I wish everyone could experience this. I am glad I am here, I don't know what I would have done.

The only interaction I've had with the leadership there is through my mother, and when she approaches with an issue, it gets taken care of. The food is good and there's plenty of choice. I think the activities are good. I myself have taken part in the bingo and stuff, and I think the activities are what they need to be. There are different levels of interaction, so I would say I wouldn't ask for any other activities. Housekeeping is excellent. Everything seems to get done and her place is clean, very clean. Dusting, vacuuming, all of those things seem to be okay and the work is followed-through. The supervisors set the standards and standards are pretty good. I believe my mom is safe and comfortable, the value is good when you consider all the things in there. I think they've done well there.

Mom’s just had her 92nd birthday and she says she's happy there. This May first it'll be two years she's been there. Management has been friendly, responsive, and are always around and visiting. The Med Techs come every day, stand there, watch, and make sure she takes her pill. If I do see symptoms I tell the care staff and they do test her. Dining is very good and I am aware of daily activities. Housekeeping comes every Wednesday to clean and get the laundry, and daily they pop in to check the trash can. Everything seems to be working, and if something does go out the maintenance guys are responsive, come, and get it back in order. When first looking, I only toured Desert Rose and Emerald Springs. It didn’t have the resort-type atmosphere Emerald Springs has. It's a 20 year old building and they are always upgrading, renewing, and redoing something. We don’t have much in the way of complaints.

The caregivers take care of me pretty well at this community. If I need help, there is someone to push me in my scooter. They take care of my medication and bring it to me on time. Management and dining both do a good job. They have donuts and coffee every Friday which is fun because I love coffee and enjoy donuts. They have a lighter meal in the evening and a heavier meal around noon. The servers are very nice and sociable. this community has plenty of activities and they have happy hour once a week. Housekeeping does a pretty good job. The cleaning and laundry are fine. I occassionally take the bus to Walmart. I had to use it to go to the doctor about a week ago and that went fine. Sometimes we go out to eat and they take us on the bus which is nice. All in all, it is very pretty and they take pretty good care of you

This is a very nice community and my mother is very lucky to be there. The food is fair and my mom enjoys the crafts. Housekeeping is on top of everything and does an excellent job and for the most part the transportation is good. She uses it for shopping and it works well. For the most part, the caregivers are good. This is probably one of the nicest communities in our area.

The management team are always available. Janet, the Financial Manager, Jeff, the sales manager, they have all been wonderful to us. The dining room wait staff is very responsive, everybody has been great. My husband goes to more activities than I do. We like the variety. I think the housekeeping is excellent. The housekeepers are top-notch. They come in every week, change the sheets, wash them, put them back on, and clean, no complaints. They're wonderful. The care givers are accessible. When I was ill, they walked my dog for me, and when my husband fell they came and got him up.

For what my mother gets at Emerald Springs and for what it costs, the price is fair and I am glad she can afford it. I can only attest to one individual in management, but she has been nothing but good to my mother and I. In regards to care, the healthcare staff is respectful, knowledgeable, accessible and responsive, so I don't know how they can do the job because it takes a special person. She uses transportation services for Walmart or lunches, so I've been satisfied with the consistency of transportation as well it's flexibility for the residents. Regarding activities, there is tons of stuff and I can't keep up with all of them, so I really can't believe all that they do at the community. I am also satisfied with the accommodations, apartment maintenance and building maintenance, so it's been a great stay for her and I think the value is fair, I really do

My mom was there in assisted living for about three years and had left for a smaller location. But, when her doctor suggested she needed memory care we were familiar with Emerald Springs and felt it was the best place for mom. I would say the value is good there. She has a nice size room there. She has one big room with a bathroom attached and I feel she is safe. I have seen the food and it looks like good wholesome meals are being served. The activities in the memory care and are different than activities from the general population. I have been to the Happy Hour they have where they were served drinks and snacks. There was music and dancing which my mother loved. The activities I have been involved with have been good. Everything in her apartments always looks clean to me. I can't see any place they need to improve on that. The floors are always clean and the place smells clean. She very rarely has any dirty clothes so they are keeping up the laundry. She did have a problem with the sliding door to her closet. She was having trouble managing it and they came in and removed it for her. I didn't have to mention it to them the maintenance staff just took it upon themselves. It is homey and has comfortable surroundings. I know mom takes some care and patience and everything I have witnessed has been good. I know she gets attention. When I am there she is being spoken to and guided whenever she needs it. She has been in three different places now and I believe Emerald Springs is the best.

They were rated five stars. I looked at other facilities and Emerald Springs was rated the highest, so I moved my mom in. Every time I call the management for anything they always seem to take care of any issues. They are great. They have good food and a beautiful setting. Every time I go there her room is spotless. Her is laundry is done well. I talk to the ladies and they are very pleasant and very outgoing and very helpful. The nurses are great. There are no issues. They are doing the best that they can do. They are conscientious. I think the price is great. They provide a lot of benefits. It is affordable. They have a lot for the package that they get. She loves her apartment. Everything is beautiful. I feel she is in a safe environment and she is being taken care of.

My mom likes the food, and they go out of their way for her. She is very happy with that and the entire dining facility. I know they have quite a few activities, social events, and outings. She uses the transportation service and she’s never had a problem. Maintenance helped coordinate things to make them ready for her when she moved in, that was helpful. Everything is neat, tidy, and in-order throughout the community. Whenever anything had to be done or addressed there was no hesitation in management and it made her feel very comfortable.
