The dining experience is excellent!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

There are cheaper places but you don't get the same quality of service. The room is fine and it was completely redone. I moved in to a pretty nice unit. I felt safe. There is pretty good management. I am satisfied. The servers in the dining room were excellent; they were helpful when you needed them. They have gone through a major cosmetic renovation. The carpet was new and they changed the furniture. The grounds were kept up nice. All in all, I am satisfied here.

They make meals an event, more than just feeding them!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

The security folks would be at the door checking to see if everything was OK, they were never disgruntled at a false call or anything like that so I appreciated that. Dining was a positive experience for my folks. I felt the food was good and decent, had a good variety and the staff there had their own ministry. There was a connection and familiarity. They just made going to the meals an event, more than just a feeding. We had a very positive experience with management, things were communicated well. We had a lot of paperwork from time to time and the lady who does the books there is a notary public so she was helpful with that. Overall, we were very positive and enthusiastic about it and I thought everything went quite smoothly

The activities are excellent; we're trying as much as possible!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I feel we got a fair price. The room was nice and repainted, a new floor put in before we arrived. Shelly was really helpful, told us where to park, had the keys waiting for us at the front desk on July 4th.The staff in the dining room is phenomenal, someone has trained them really well. Donna, in management, is always available, and she and Shelly were the ones who made the difference when we were choosing where to move in to.
The activities are excellent. We're doing the water aerobics, flex and strength training, Tai Chi, sing-alongs, men's night, and Happy Hour. We haven’t missed much. We've gone out to a theater away from the community. We're trying to do as much as possible. Tim, the driver, is very courteous and helpful, a safe driver. Our housekeeper has only been here twice, but we have no complaints. She has a good attitude and gets our laundry back to us. We have no complaints here!

The meal plans help a lot!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

The cost seems fair to me. With what she is getting it seems like a good value. The management staff is very good. Everybody is very willing to help. She likes the food a lot. It helps to have the meal plan so she does not have to worry about cooking. She is very happy with the activities. Her room was ready when she moved in. Depending on what one's needs are I would recommend the community.

They have a tough job here and do it well!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

She moved into Memory Care recently from Assisted Living, we are veterans there. It doesn't smell bad, that was a big deal to us. They put up with my mom and her laundry even though she can be difficult. They do a good job. This place is clean and very properly done, they get all high marks. It's a tough job and they do it well. I guarantee you my mom wouldn't be there if I didn't like it. There are very communicative and accessible.

It's like one big family here!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I think it's very, very good for the price. My wife and I were talking about how friendly everybody is, the staff and residents. It's like one big family here. I don’t have any issues with safety or security. Not only do my sister and wife live here, I live here to. Everything seems absolutely great so far, everything worked out right like it should have and I'm very happy here. The food I've had is excellent. I'm not much for doing activities myself, but my wife says they're very good. They had a welcoming ceremony for the new people and it was really good. They give us menus for all the foods and schedules for the activities. The housekeeper that cleans our apartment is excellent. They handle the laundry. Maintenance has been very helpful. The common areas are all kept nice, neat, and clean. We are all very happy here.

You're paying for quality services; I am very impressed with the place!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I'm a nurse and I am thoroughly impressed with the place. Everybody in that place is so nice. It's excellent. A lot of people who were at the place she was at before are moving over to The Forum. I think management is excellent. I've been dealing with Shelly and she's great, she gets things done when you ask her. I've been impressed with that. For what you're paying and the quality of the services, I'm impressed and I'm a nurse practitioner so I'm not easily impressed.

I don't think you could ask for anything better!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

We feel very secure. We have a two bed two bath apartment, very nice. I don’t think you could ask for anything better than the apartment we have. I think the staff is fabulous. The dining is wonderful. It's a really nice dining room, nice setup and everything. You have lots of activities to choose from, so everybody can find what they want to do. Maintenance has done everything I've needed.

Always available and accommodating staff.

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

I chose this community for my parents for the care for my mom who is in memory care. Shelly, Karen, and the woman who is the head of the skilled nursing care have all been satisfactory. I don’t think my father participates in many of the activities because he is 95 years old and can barely walk, but the people who are participating seem to enjoy it very much, and it is always available. The lady who is charge of Memory Care is Karen, and she is always there and very accommodating.

The activities are exactly what he is interested in!

Review for The Forum at Lincoln Heights

We are very pleased with what my father gets, especially the meals and the additional housekeeping, for the price he is paying. We are much more content than we anticipated being, and that is a pleasant surprise. It is very comfortable and is very safe on a day to day basis They do a really good job helping people who may not be able to be Independent if they didn't provide loving care. It's not so much my dad, but seeing other people, they are doing a real good job of taking care of them. The maintenance has been helpful. There were a couple of little snafus early on, but they took care of it. The repsonse time was much better than I would have anticipated, so that was a pleasant surprise. I really like the housekeeping. They introduced it to us well, and I really liked when the head housekeeper came to explain the situation to us. For us, the activities have been very good because it pertains exactly to what my dad is interested in. Specifically, he needs to work out, and he is working out every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. He also loves beer, and there are two happy hours. Not only is the food good, but so is the whole atmosphere of the dining room. The servers are very good and they remember his name.
