The Forum at Memorial Woods

All of the people I have been involved with have been very gracious and smiley. One of the reasons I love this place so much is because of all of the activity options available. I do like the fact that everybody seems to be very cheerful, very gracious, very giving.

We looked at six other communities and this one was the least expensive. The other communities we looked at were spread out and you had to walk a ways to get around. You don't have to do that here. They also offered three meals a day while most of the others only offered two meals a day. Everybody has been really nice to us so far, the food is good and the service in the dining room is alright. We are really enjoying the heated swimming pool and the two libraries at the community. The building is really nice and everything is clean looking.

I have been very satisfied with the care she is receiving here. The management seems to be very attentive and caring and the dining seems to be great. I like that they have more choices so they can pick what they want. That gives them a little interaction to what they are eating. Mom seems to be doing great and is happy at this community.

I chose The Forum at Memorial Woods because after looking at many places in Houston, I liked The Forum the best of all. The building is maintained very well and my housekeeper is a lovely girl. There are many, many activities and they all seem interesting. Management is responsive and the service from wait staff during the dining experience is outstanding.My neighbors also seem to be very nice people, so I always tell other people that if they're looking for a place, to go to The Forum because it's the nicest.

The housekeeping is very, very good. There are plenty of activities offered at the community. Right now especially, there is a Houston rodeo show going on and they have a lot of activities that they bring residents to. The food is the best part here and the service is good. I think the price is good and comparable, and it's very nice, neat and quiet at the community. I feel very safe, comfortable and well-attended to, plus the staff treats guests really well, like when my adult children come in to visit.

I chose The Forum at Memorial Woods because after looking at 27 communities, it scored the highest marks within the list system we developed. My list was based on overall management, care and treatment, but that it operated on a high standard as well and so far, my stay has been satisfactory. I use the transportation service at the community exclusively, since I don't drive, everything has been excellent. The building is maintained to be attractive, inviting and satisfying, with no odors. The housekeeping services are excellent and while I haven't been exposed to the activities yet because I am involved in physical therapy, their variety, quantity and quality certainly seem to be up to par. Management responds to every request I've had and they assure that services are of high quality.

I love her space. It is less expensive than her previous place, she has a single room and her own bathroom. I am very happy with my aunt's living conditions. The dining room is lovely. They have their helpers if they need it are happily eating there. The cleanliness of her apartment is good. She is very high functioning but I know they have stayed with her while she was showering on her own and made sure she did everything right. There are plenty of staff around to help.

We chose The Forum for mom because we live close by and have known about it. My husband and I are only two miles away. She loves her apartment, she has a walk-in closet. So far housekeeping has come once, she started the schedule last Thursday and she was very satisfied with it. Maintenance came the first day and helped us with the TV. The maintenance man was very good. The managers have been kind and helpful to her and have answered all my questions. They seem to have a variety of activities. The food has been good, she says it is good, no complaints. I see the menus and so to me there is variety. She is very satisfied with the service. The servers greet her, seat her, and really assist her. It's a very good value. She is safe and she’s settling in there, mom’s good there.

I chose this community because it was close to my family. I would say it is a very reasonable value and I don't have any complaints. I like the space I have and it has a good view. I am a newcomer but from all I have seen the management staff are all perfectly suited to their positions. Everything is excellent in the dining department. I have found everything to be very wholesome, hearty and tasty. There does appear to be enough activities to keep everybody satisfied. I am interested in drawing and am looking forward to participating in that. The gal that comes once a week to clean my apartment seems to be very competent and helpful. I think she has done well. They take the bed clothes down to be done.

It is close to my home and I was familiar with people that have gone to rehab or skilled care there. I was happy with what I saw. I am somewhat familiar with other Memory Care facilities and my dad was currently living in an Assisted Living, so when I went for the tour I was quite happy with that I saw. I was very happy with the people, everybody was extremely friendly. Since my dad has been there I have spoken with other family members that have loved one's on the same floor and have only heard good things. In terms of management, if I bring anything to their attention it is immediately addressed. The ladies that work in sales were extremely responsive as well. I do believe they offer a good amount of activities for the residents. One day I was there I was like "oh my god, what smells so good" and Jessica told me they were making brownies. Regarding his care, Jessica the Director of his floor is wonderful and the nurses are all wonderful. Overall, I have been very pleased with the experience.
