Fox Trail Senior Living Ramsey 2, NJ

The managers always kept me informed, hey have always been helpful. It’s all homemade food, they cook roast chicken and make meatloaf, all from scratch. Elsewhere I know it costs more and is not as good of service as Fox Trail, I really like the place.

Management is great, they answer all your questions, they're very attentive, they keep the place clean. If I have to leave a message, I get a call back within ten minutes, it's wonderful, Veronica is absolutely incredible, she's just unbelievable. I know my mother loves the food. My mother says it's very good and if she gets hungry, they make her something; it's very well run. I know my mother is happy with the activities, they tell me when they take her places, they went bowling, they went to an animal sanctuary, they do whatever they can. The place is immaculate, her clothes are always clean, it's beautiful, and the healthcare staff loves my mother and my mother loves them.

I had conversations with a number of different properties and the Director, William, was kind enough to offer to do a Facetime call with me to do a tour of Fox Trail. That's really what sold me; he went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable to make the decision to go with Fox Trail. Another thing I liked at Fox Trail was that they had unrestricted visiting hours; that was important to me as well because I could go and visit at any point. The management communication was and continues to be outstanding, they made it very easy from start to finish, and I’m very satisfied. They do have a good amount of activities offered and the cleanliness is very good. The property was well kept and clean and all of that so that gave me comfort. Maintenance is excellent, there were no odors, so that was another good sign for me that they weren't trying to mask over unpleasant odors with cleaning solution, and it was neutral.

My brother was in a rehab and I knew he needed car, I saw the ads from A Place for Mom and this woman from there, Christine, set us up with Fox Trail. It's a more intimate feel. It’s a fair value, and after three years if a resident’s money runs out they will take Medicaid which is a very good thing. The house manager has been such a help. I love the woman running it, Veronica. She is just on top of everything. Anything I have asked for him she has gone out of her way to make it happen for him. The care is excellent. When he first came there staff loved him. I had some ravioli, it was delicious. It seems like home cooked meals. I can see the other residents doing activities, exercises, the ladies get their nails done, games, movies; it's very scheduled. Housekeeping is very good, and we’re satisfied with maintenance. The outside is nice and the inside is very clean. I have no complaints. My brother is safe and comfortable, it's outstanding care.

We had a friend who is also there and has been there since it opened up a few years ago. She raved about the care so that is why we put my mom there. I think the management does show that they care. They are very interactive with the residents. They have a pretty good amount of activities. The place is spotless. Her laundry is always very clean and done. I am very satisfied with the care.

The manager is very attentive and has a very sunshiny personality. She is very hands on. She is very caring and just her personality alone wins over not just me but the other people who have loved ones there as well. The staff is great. The food is great. It is all made on the premises. I even had some myself and I thought it was pretty good. They have a schedule for the activities every day. I am not worried about them sitting around being bored. They sing and they do arts and crafts. It is nice. They have one big room for the activities and they have the tables set up for the activities with a nice big fireplace. They are doing the laundry and it is very good. The building is absolutely beautiful. It is nice and bright. It has one big living room with couches and TV's. It seems like a parlor environment. It doesn't look institutional. We gravitated toward it. The health manager won us over.

I liked that this was a small home type setting, it was more intimate. The manager is completely approachable and reachable and she answers all the questions I have. The food is homemade and they have a good menu variety. It is a beautiful house. I feel she is being taken care of properly and she is doing well.

As far as we can tell, it's either low or average cost for this kind of service so I'm satisfied with that. The food is all hand made, they make all their own soups and they treat my mom like she's their mom. It's always spotless and clean, I've seen a lot of places and this is one of the cleaner ones.

I love the Ramsey. It is a wonderful place. The place looks spotless, both my mom's apartment and the building itself. The dining area looks clean and presentable. I want to keep her there as long as possible, I loe this place.

It's been really good overall and they try really hard. Lisa is excellent. She cares, she’s warm and she follows up on things. The activities that Lisa provides are excellent. Housekeeping is very clean. Healthcare staff keeps my father washed and clean. All in all we have been happy.
