Gateway Villa and Gateway Gardens

I like Viola in management a lot. Everyone has been accommodating so far. We brought my mother-in-law food ourselves and in 3 days, she said to take it all back because she enjoys the food there. There are more activities than she is taking advantage of. Amber asks her to join them since she is a follower, so I am appreciative of the fact that they're trying to integrate her. She is doing far more than I had anticipated. Her room always looks great when I have been there. The healthcare has been very good. It's better than we expected now that family members have visited and we got feedback, so we are happy with the choice so far.

The nursing staff is good. They're all great. They call me if there's anything I need to know so they do a good job. There are a lot of activities. I know the staff comes in and encourages the residents to participate. The staff calls me on just about every action, so she's in good hands. It's very good. It's reasonable and the director has given me a pretty good deal so that helps a little bit.

This particular location and the staff have gone out of their way to make this a positive experience. They have made the transition non-stressful and pleasant. I was so worried about it and everything has turned out fine. The things that were promised to him have been followed through with. My dad is their best eater and he really likes the food. He is participating in activities and no longer seems depressed like he was at his previous community. The housekeepers are excellent. They are certainly keeping up with the laundry. Everything was perfect when we moved into the room. The community is one of the nicest in the areas. They are checking on him every two hours. They are all wonderful. They have gone out of their way to help him, get him what he needs and to communicate with me. Everything is wonderful. I have nothing negative to say about this community at all.

I did a lot of research, I was very pleased with Gateway Gardens and the first person I met was Viola, the nurse, and she was absolutely precious. I just loved her spirit. Abra was very sweet; everyone who works there has my highest regard. I think they're doing great. The nurses are wonderful, the med techs and aides are wonderful. I was totally amazed by the maintenance done on the place, so I was really excited about that. I really liked the color. The management staff has been so gracious. They were all positive; they listened to what I had to say and relieved me of my concerns.

We moved my mother in because I liked the looks of it. I knew someone whose mother was there and they said they had a good experience. The food was quite good. It appears they have a lot of great activities. The room was all clean and ready to be moved into. The maintenance staff is trying very hard and the facility looks very good. The caretakers have all been very nice and very good.

I think the price is pretty good. My apartment is very nice. I don’t have any interest in participating. They gave me a calendar at move-in, it comes out the first every month from what I can tell and it's packed. The caregivers are good; they bring my pills and help me dress for lunch. I would definitely recommend it.

All the people were very nice while my mother was at the community. There were some really good nurses, and Vi, the Head Nurse, was wonderful. They communicated with me very well. For the right kind of person, it's a great place.

We were very pleased with Gateway. A lot things are very appealing visually to the people walking in. The dining area, the living area, and the activity areas always looked very clean. When I talked with the caregivers, they were always very respectful and answered my questions. When I asked for something, they helped me. Nina was the one at the desk who was helpful, and Vi does a wonderful job. Danielle handled the billing very well. The way that all the staff works on the special programs throughout the year and the monthly birthday party is excellent. Any time I was there, the activities staff would come to the door, tell him what was going on, and encourage my father to participate. All in all, I think the cost is good. When you compare with what is in the market, it's good. It went up once while we were there, but it was very reasonable.

I think they're really good, I think they're really competitive and meet the needs of what my father has. I think people enjoy it and feel comfortable. They feel like they're in their home. I have experiences with other places so I know about different homes and levels that are out there, I feel like they do what they say. They're very attentive to the needs of those that need more attention. The management staff has been great about meeting all his needs and the level of needs. I haven't tasted the food but everyone says that it's good. They seem attentive as far as if they're not eating and helping them cut it up. The caregivers are also meeting his needed and have had a great attitude about it.
