Glenwood Place Senior Living

The people we've met are very nice and friendly. We took the bus to the boat parade and my husband went to the casino. We've been to a couple of movies, and my husband's been to the veteran's group, and I've been twice to the quilting. We like the gym very much. The grounds are very nice. We generally go for a walk every day for a mile and we both feel very safe walking.

We're happy with what we have here. We're thankful we can be in a place like this where someone takes care of us. I recommended Glenwood Place to my brother who moved in next door to me. My brother and I enjoy having dinner at the Bistro. I'm happy with the activities that they have here. Housekeeping comes weekly, we're very happy with them, they do a nice job. My laundry is picked up every Wednesday, and they lady who does it returns it the same day, reliably. I use the transportation to go shopping at Fred Meyer, and they provide it for when we need to attend funerals as well as medical appointments. I'm satisfied with it.

I do feel it's a good value for what you get. I love it! They provide lots of activities and it's wonderful, I almost feel like they offer too much. I've got a good variety and I really enjoy it. It is very well maintained, inside and out. If I have anything, all I have to do is call the maintenance number, submit a work order, and someone will come quickly. The facility is very clean, well maintained inside and out.

We liked the way that it was laid out, so that was a reason we moved my mom in. There is a very nice and friendly administrative staff. Maintenance came one day when we moved the TV in and he was wonderful. I think that they try to do activities, and they are pretty good, they have a consistent schedule.

We put my father-in-law there because it was recommended and so close. It's a beautiful place. He likes the dining very much. Every time I've eaten there it's been really good. The maintenance staff came in and helped hang up his pictures. I didn't even ask, they just saw the pictures sitting there and sent someone to come and hang them up. The management staff really just listens to what you have to say and then follow through with what you ask, we're just pleased.

The manager Chad Mundy is out there getting to know us, talking to the different departments to see if there any problems. He's a really great manager, I really like him. The food is really good, I like it. I love the breakfasts. The menu has two choices every meal, but if you don't like either you can go to the bistro. It’s getting better and better for activities. They've got movies three times a week, they've got games, and they have lots of things. I do bean bag baseball and pinochle, and some people do the bingo and really like it. I use the transportation to go to church on Sundays and go to the doctor. I really like all the bus drivers. They're always on time, and when you're done you call them up and they get you right back home. I feel like the maintenance staff is doing a great job. When I moved in they put all my stuff up, moved my things in. they're really nice to me. The building is very nice, well maintained. Laundry is great. Housekeeping is very good for what it is, they can only spend so much time per room. For what they have and what they do they're really good.

My mother liked the management a lot; for the most part she did, anyway. They seemed to be very helpful. So I think she got along fine with the management team. They went a lot of places and offered a lot with transportation. It wasn't like there wasn't something there to do; there was plenty to do, and she did do some of it. She did most of her eating at the Bistro there and she cooked her own meals.

I don't know how you would put a price on a facility where your loved one is safe and cared for. The caregivers are very caring and responsible and the management is great. They are pretty engaged in getting the residents to the activities. We are pleased with the dining. It seems to be pretty good.

I love that there are always people in the lobby area; it's a real community there. I love the energy. Everyone knows her name and speaks to her. My grandmother feels important there. I think all assisted living is crazy expensive, but it's certainly not unreasonable for the services she receives. My grandmother loves the Bingo and working out at the gym. She enjoys the music and it makes me so happy that there are so many activities. She's so busy all the time and that's wonderful. The outside trips are great. There's a pool and other things that residents enjoy.

It's good and clean and has a good reputation. I've spoken to people who have had relatives and friends here and they couldn't speak highly enough about it. The management staff has responded to everything we've needed. They're extremely friendly and efficient. We went to the pool this morning and exercised and it made us feel great. There's a lot offered, that's one of the reasons we chose Glenwood. Everybody has gone out of their way to help us. It seems like everybody is happy here, including the residents and the staff. You can't walk down the hall without someone saying hi and asking how you are.
