Heritage Woods

We chose Heritage Woods for my grandma because of proximity to my work, since I am her POA. So far, the prices and services are satisfactory, she feels safe and comfortable, and everyone on the healthcare staff has been great. Management is wonderful and their communication is great because they always answer our questions and they're also always there when we need them, so I am just very impressed with them. The dining staff tries to accommodate my grandma the best they can and the food itself is wonderful, when she's a picky eater, so the dining experience has been good. In terms of activities, she is always doing something, so the activities offered are entertaining and well planned for her needs. As for maintenance services, the building maintenance is good and I am satisfied with the consistency of the maintenance staff' service. Overall, I have been thrilled with her at the community.

We're waiting for the new management to come in but the other people are very nice to work with. The bus driver is also excellent and the building is nice. The housekeeping is fine, it's good. There are certain things that housekeeping can't do but all in all I think they do as good of a job as they can. The house staff does my laundry and it's going well. I really don't go to the activities but they do have a variety of things to do. The dining room servers are very, very good.

When we were searching for a place for me, my son was doing all the legwork, he found that this place was less expensive and had more benefits. It was a much nicer place than a lot of the others. It has a lot of nice things to offer. They have everything to do in activities. You can use up all you time there and some days I don't even get a nap. It is great. They have something for everyone. They just knock the ball out of the park with that one. They have hired a new maintenance guy. He knows what he is doing. They have also hired him two helpers. I have high praises for the new maintenance man. This is my first experience at being in one of these places. It needs some polishing but overall it is a nice place and I like it.

We chose it because of the atmosphere, the location is close to us, the layout of the facility, the dining room, the size of the room, the cost of the rent, the overall aesthetic of the place. My mom absolutely loves it there, there are plenty of activities to keep her busy during the day.

The management is resident friendly and the dining room servers are terrific, they're excellent. They have more than enough activities. The cost is very reasonable for me overall.

My mom moved into this community because a social worker from her doctor's office recommended it and she could have her cat here. Compared to other communities, it is a fair price. Management has made mom feel very welcome and she says the food is very good. She also loves all the activities. Housekeeping is helpful to mom. They come on Monday's to clean. The building is beautiful and maintenance helped set her TV up. She is working with Physical Therapy at this community. She likes them very much and is pleased with the therapy.

Mom has said it is the best decision she has made. The location is good. She is very comfortable there. She has told me multiple times that she has slept through the whole night and she hadn't done that in a while. I feel the price is excellent for what we are getting. I like the fact there is a salon where she can get her hair done. She has a very large apartment with a full kitchen. The management worked with me well on getting an apartment that mom would like. The people at the front desk have been wonderful. Even though she is independent they keep an eye on her. If she doesn't show up at meals they will call and check on her. I was impressed with the dining room. The food is excellent. I have enjoyed it myself two or three times. The wait staff is excellent. They take a personal interest in the resident. I keep the calendar of activities up and I couldn't keep up with all they offer if I was residing there. They constantly have something going on or are doing something. The cleaning of the apartment has been good. She comes in on Monday's and does fine.

I have known about Heritage Woods for a long time. My church has done a church Christmas service for Heritage Woods residents for about 25 years so I was very familiar with them so I moved my mom in. The management checks on my mother and they are always very friendly. Within just a few days they knew her name. They are very attentive to her and all the residents. I know all of them by their name and I don't have a problem. If I have a problem I will address it. Since she has moved in through the end of November and through December they have had a lot of entertainment in the atrium for the residents. It is holiday time and those folks are probably bombarded with a lot of churches and organizations that want to come and entertain the residents. I think that is wonderful. I hope it is that way all year. The housekeepers do an excellent job. My mom is very neat. They come every week and I know they dust and run the vacuum. They empty her trash can. She is very happy and I am happy.

I'm very happy here at Heritage Woods. I've been here in Independent Living for three years, and when my husband was with me he was in Assisted. My experience with the nurses was with my husband who was in Assisted Living and they were very good. I think they do a good job with activities, it's a good selection. I take advantage of some, but I think they do a good job trying to reach out to us. My apartment is clean, housekeeping comes every week. I feel very comfortable and safe. Somebody is on duty all night, and I think it's a very safe place to live.

I think it is a good value. I have been here eleven years. We have safety and can lay down at night and go to sleep. It is a friendly community. The management staff are kind and listen when we talk to them and that means a lot. I think people could find more activities than they have time to do them. I am satisfied with the service I receive from housekeeping, maintenance and transportation as well. So far they have treated me very well and done what I asked them to.
