Homestead House

They're very nice. It's almost like I've known them my whole life. They're very friendly. I'm very, very happy. I've very glad that we got him in there. The care staff jokes with hom and asks if he has any problems. He likes the maintenance man. They've talked several times. Listening to him, I would say he's happy with the housekeeping. I like the activities that they have. He says the food is very good. They'll fix him anything he wants. He's very pleased with the meals. The mangaement team has been outstanding. They're extremely helpful and extremely friendly. I'm really impressed with the staff. I think for what he gets and the value he gets, it's really good. It's clean, the staff is good, it's fresh, and the exterior is nice. You just get a comfortable and homey feeling about it. You feel good when you're walking around and you're in there.

We have been pleased with the Nursing and the aides; the care is great. She has been there for over 6 years and it's home to her now, so hopefully we can keep her there until the Lord takes her home. Overall, it's a good place for my mom to be and I would definitely recommend the community to others.

Clara loves the cooking and if they have something she doesn't really care for they will provide her something else. She loves playing dominoes, bingo and she appreciates the exercises. They have people there that really care for her.

I think it is going well for him. He is satisfied and is enjoying the meals. It is all one level with easy access. I couldn't have asked for better cooperation from management in making him confortable and meeting his needs. We had to move in the next day and they were very accommodating in getting the room ready. He is always pleased with the food and I know they do have a wide variety. They have good desserts which he likes.

It's a nice place to visit. The nurse is doing a real good job. It's a nice place there and he's eating well, and we're confident the medication is being consistent, which is good. His cleanliness is much better than it was.

I think my Aunt is happy with the dining. They really try to accommodate my Aunt with the issues she has and try to make sure she can chew the food. My Aunt says the food tastes really good. My Aunt does participate in the exercises that they do in the mornings and she always plays bingo and things. The nursing department is very attentive and any time you mention anything or there is a concern, they address it immediately. They are very attentive to their residents needs. They do a good job with the laundry and the housekeeping is good. All in all, I think My Aunt is happy with things there.

I think this is a pleasant community and it isn't too huge. You get one on one attention. The Director is always nice to me and my mom is content with the food. As far as I know the servers are good. Yesterday evening she had very good service when I ate with her. She has arthritis in her hands so it makes it difficult for her to hold onto silverware. They provided her with the big handled silverware to help her told it. This community offers quite a bit of activities but she is pretty content to stay in her apartment. They have bingo every week and she enjoys that a lot. The activities director is always offering things to her. The housekeeping has improved and maintenance has been working on making the building look nice, clean, attractive and up to date. I think Anthony, the maintenance man, does a good job. My mom's apartment is pretty well taken care of. I think the staff they have now, especially the day time girls are good with her. They are kind to her and kid around with her. They are helpful and I really like the nurse. I think this has been a good place for my mom and she is comfortable there. I hope she can stay there until the Lord takes her home.

My mother is at Homestead House and in comparison to other communities; I'd say the community provides good care. The care staff is real attentive and they joke around with her, since she likes to joke, and I'd say they're knowledgeable. Management was very informative from the get go and any questions we have, they have open doors, but there haven't been any issues at all. Regarding dining, I have only eaten there once during Christmas dinner and at that time I thought the dining experience was good, with the service being satisfactory. The community also provides activities for the residents, the housekeeping has been good and she always has clean clothes. Regarding maintenance, they did some stuff in the room prior to her moving in and the grounds as far as I know are satisfactory, so everything has been satisfactory at the community thus far.

I am absolutely pleased with the community. In comparison with where we were before it is excellent. They are kind. They are polite. They keep me informed. They want her to be taken care of and I appreciate it. Clara loves the food and I have no complaints from her. The snacks and everything they provide and the meals that we have had have been great. In regards to the activities, they constantly have things offered for her. Some of it is entertainment and some of it is active. They play bingo and dominos. She is pleased with it and so am I. They keep her busy and I like that. I have not walked into her room there where it wasn't clean. Maintenance has been good. They are constantly working, painting. The outside is gorgeous. The nurse is great. They take care of her. If something happens they call me. She feels well taken care of. The little button that she wears around her neck is helpful because she has fallen a couple of times. They are on the spot. It is like she is in a home with her family. They make her feel great. I am thankful for that.

My grandparents were asking about something so I went to management and got an answer right away. I was pretty impressed with the dining. It actually felt like a classy restaurant. My grandparents get out and when they do activities they have a good time. They interact with most people. They have enough activities to keep them busy so I am happy with that. I haven't seen my grandparents’ room not clean. Their beds are made, the trash is taken out and the floors are clean and the bathrooms are clean. The building is kept very well. It looks like it is supposed to look. The care givers are pretty quick with things that I have noticed. My grandparents say they click their button and the nurse shows up. The care givers are on top of things. Every time I am there I always see at least three care givers. With the three it seemed like it was running very well.
