Lakewood Reserve Senior Living

The appearance and the general atmosphere it clean and up to date, but not too modern where my mother would not fit in. My mother needs a high level of assisted living and it is nice to know that they have a doctor to come and see her. The staff is very nice and encouraging to her. There is plenty of variety and a good quality to the food that they serve.

Everyone was wonderful. I was 100% satisfied with his care, the staff and their treatment of me as well. Management was very accessible, responsive and helpful. The dining staff was wonderful, very prompt and courteous. The activities that were availble for the residents was good and housekeeping did a really good job. I really liked the building very much. It was very clean and the flowers and trees always looked very nice. I truly believe the staff here couldn't be any better and I was very pleased with them.

What impressed my mom was the facility had a homey feel to it and wasn't like a five star resort. I think there are a lot of activities offered. I do see quite a variety of different things offered and a wide spectrum of things. I know she has been on the scenic rides and those have been fun. She loves her housekeeper. She does a very good job and comes every Thursday.

The staff is so good to my mom and their dealings with the residents. Once the construction gets done I think the building is going to be really nice. They keep it up really well. They are always outside planting; I think they do a good job.

There are more and more activities that are appropriate for the residents that are there. The housekeeping is great. The healthcare is why we stay there. The medtechs are exceptional and the healthcare staff they are very caring. If there is some kind of concern, they will call me. There is not a lot of turnover and the folks seem to really care about what they are doing. They do a great job.

My sister-in-law is settling in well and I am happy about that. I am pleased that she is somewhere that I know she is well cared for and I am happy with it. I like everyone there; the nurses and all them in there are just great. Whenever we have asked for help they have been right there. Everything is perfect in housekeeping; it seems clean all the time.

Mom and dad moved in because of the location, it's 4 miles from me and 5 miles from my sister and convenient to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Management is better than the best. The first person we met and I continue to have almost daily contact is Ben, I believe the #2 guy under Ryan. Ben, Ryan and the Executive Director, she is amazing. Jennifer who heads the care tam, I mean, everybody from top to bottom is accommodating, wonderful, sweet, and kind. My father continues to rave about the soups. Mom is addicted to the coconut shrimp. The variety is tremendous. There are two specials, but if you don't want that you can get a steak or grilled cheese or whatever. I am overwhelmed by the variety of activities offered and I feel they will adjust. There was a black-tie formal mom went to and she enjoyed it, and the staff ensured she met people. Housekeeping is also better than the best. Darla is amazing. She's been with the company 20 years. Above and beyond, kind, sweet, and patient. She does more than she's probably supposed to. I brought mom in from grocery shopping and she helped us carry them in. She is lovely, kind, and sweet. She is one of my favorite non-management people. Maintenance has been responsive. Mom was having problems with the toilet. They tried to fix it, couldn’t, so they replaced it. I heard the other day the care giving people who come to help dad shower are very nice. I'd have no problem with my parents using the transportation, I met Michael, the driver, he seems pleasant, but mom still drives. I have been overall very impressed. Considering how difficult this transition is, the fact that they made it so easy and welcoming took the pain of the experience of moving our parents 1,000 miles when they don’t want to move. Ben deserves the top kudos, he bent over backwards and went above and beyond.

We chose Lakewood Reserve for my mother and sister because of the person who gave a tour. We had looked at a variety of places, but we felt like he just radiated sunshine and cared for the future residents, so that made us pay the most attention to the Reserve. In addition, the staff was friendly and the floor plan met their needs. Since they've moved in, I can say the healthcare staff are all very pleasant and they do what they're asked to do. The community is beautiful and very clean, the apartment maintenance is satisfactory and the gentleman from the maintenance department is very helpful. With regards to cleanliness, the housekeeping service is awesome and we're so much happier with it than we were at the last place that they were at. While we do their laundry, housekeeping does their bedding and provides towel service, so that has been going smoothly. In terms of the dining experience, the wait staff is very nice and friendly. As they both have gotten settled in, they still haven't taken advantage of the activities yet, but the offerings are wonderful and should suit their needs. Regarding value, I think that the costs are what we expected and they're comparable to other communities we've checked out in the area, so it's been a good experience thus far. Overall we haven't had any issues, management has been great and they both feel comfortable at the community.

It is a fair value. The apartment is perfect for him. He is very safe there. Jennifer, the head nurse she is great. The care givers are good. They are very proactive. They call me quite often when I need something. They will call me and chase me down. I give them high regards. He seems to enjoy the food. The maintenance staff seem to be on top of anything that needs to be done.

We took my loved one to several places and he liked that everyone there was friendly, he liked the apartments, and it's within walking distance of his church, so he moved in. Ryan, in management, was very helpful in setting things up and getting my loved one moved in quickly. Maintenance moved in his bed and, boy, I can’t think them enough. They set it up on Christmas Eve and it was very helpful. My loved one did mention the food is delicious. He is very happy. I do know he has attended some activities and enjoyed. He will use the transportation there, and I think they are flexible. Housekeeping is doing his laundry and I know he is happy with that. He is very satisfied with the care from the care givers. He is delighted to be there. I am just so appreciative they could get my loved one in so quickly. Moving in on Christmas Eve when he was in a dire situation. I really appreciate the help from everyone. He feels very safe, he loves the companionship.
