Lakewood Reserve Senior Living

For what my mother is using, Lakewood Reserve has been a very good value and while I have looked at other communities, I think the prices here are very affordable. It was an adjustment for her, but she is very happy with her apartment because she has a nice big view, which was very important, so she feels comfortable at the community. The current management is always responsive and agrees to meet with me to answer questions. Regarding activities, the things provided are great and the residents are offered a lot of options, plus they encourage her and does a fine job overall. Housekeeping is satisfactory and we're happy with right now because they come every week and do everything she asks. Maintenance is very prompt and very willing to help, so they take good care of things there and the maintenance man is amazing. Overall, It's been a good experience and everyone there is very nice with being willing to help.

We wanted some place close to us and I only looked at two other places and liked Lakewood Reserve best, the cleanliness, the friendliness, and I felt like she might have a little more independence, which is what we were looking for. Any time I have a question, management communicates really well, they explained things very well before we moved her there and were very kind. I have seen the list of activities and it seems adequate. I think she has enjoyed them and the building seems very clean overall.

The way we found Lakewood Reserve almost two years ago is mom's primary doctor's father is a resident there. The nurses, aides, and Med Techs are very attentive to my mom. They have really impressed upon me she is a safe place and they really like her a lot, I'm pleased. My mom I really finicky about what she eats and they really try to accommodate her and her dietary wants and needs. When I've been there I've sat and watched mom interacting and doing activities. They're definitely keeping the residents active. The housekeeping staff has been great. It's a very nice place, so it's a pretty good value with everything that is included in it. It's a great place and I really, really appreciate the staff.

The staff there are all really wonderful people, they're caring, I think the highest mark on the place is the people that work there. When I approach Ashley with a concern she's always right there and acts on it promptly. I think she runs a pretty good ship there. There is always some activity in between meal times, quite often it will be physical therapy but they also have socialization. They take the people in the wing every Monday for a scenic ride, which she enjoys greatly. We've also used the bus service to take her to a doctor's appointment which helps a great deal. Maintenance is very prompt when they have a problem, they're pretty quick on the spot, and the healthcare staff is very, very responsive and caring.

Since my mother has been at the community I think the food at this community is great. The lady that cleans my mom's room is one of my favorite people there. She is very personable. Everything appears to be well maintained.

Overall, my uncle has adjusted pretty well to being here. His health has improved since he has been here. I actually think it has extended his life. I have seen the programs offered by the activities department and there are a wide variety. I think they are doing good and they seem to be well attended. I am very impressed with the young people that are working with him on his meds. They make sure his prescriptions are up to date. They are very pleasant. He likes them coming in the room and talking to him. He is happy here and hasn’t suffered any neglect. You get what you pay for. They are caring for him and you can’t ask for anything more than that.
