The Landing of Long Cove

Management is very forthcoming with information. They answered all of our questions and put our minds at ease. Last weekend we ate with my mom. The variety is good and the service is very good. The cleanliness of the dining room is very good as well. They have Bingo and other things. The staff that runs the activities is great at getting everyone involved. My mom's room is always very clean. Everything is put away and there's never any laundry laying around so it's being done in a timely manner. The grounds are kept up nicely. They're doing some renovations now, but the building was always pretty good. The caregivers are always there. We're very happy with the value.

Keisha, the secretary, is really nice and helpful. My mom always talks about enjoying the food. She just wants more, but she does not need more. They have plenty of activities; my mom just doesn't do them. We do have to move her because of cost, but it is a great community and the staff is very friendly.

Any interaction I've had with any of the nurses or caregivers has been very positive. Regarding the management, any interaction I've had has with them been very helpful. From what I've seen, it's great; I believe they bring him his meals every day. He's someone that prefers to be on his own so I don't hear a lot from him. From what I can tell, it seems like they have something going on every time I stop in and they do have a calendar full of things to do. It seems like it's good, it's just not something he participates in. Every time I come by it seems like they're keeping up with the housekeeping. It was very difficult for me to find a placement for my husband because he is younger and I was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating Landing of Long Cove was for me, so it was wonderful.

The management team is just very friendly, professional, and takes care of my father's needs. Everything's good. He likes the food. I know if I ever have an issue to go the front desk. The floors are nice, the outside patio is nice, and they're repainting the inside, so it's a big improvement. The care staff has been very respectful and responsive so far as well. I'm satisfied.

I don't have to worry about my mom's safety anymore. The management staff always communicates with me about everything. I am not left in the dark about anything. The caretakers always make sure she has her medication on time. The nurses always talk to her when she is upset and they get her calmed down. I think the activities are entertaining and well planned for the most part. The building itself is in good condition. It was recommended to me and so far it has been great.
