Lincolnwood Place

I love the apartment I have and I've made it home. During this pandemic, they're doing a great job. My food is delivered and everything is reasonably good. Everything is running unbelievably good. I feel very safe and we're getting daily letters from them which are very entertaining. I get a kick out of the activities. Somebody is going to be entertaining us from the window in the courtyard.

I have no problem here. I don't have to cook, shop or clean up after myself. I love living here and the people are nice. The maintenance staff are very good here. If something is wrong all I have to do is call down to the front desk and they send someone up here. Right now we are confined to quarters because of the virus going around, but they are doing a great job.

Everybody seems very friendly. They do a nice job of making a community there, as opposed to a place to go and waste away. It is very nice. She seems to think the food is pretty good and is concerned about gaining weight. She can't do all of the activities, but the ones they get her to she enjoys. She likes to go to the Friday night Jewish services. The care staff are very good at knowing everybody and very good with her. She is up and at it everyday. She is dressed and has her hair done. This is a good situation.

I feel more comfortable with her living there. I like how they keep watch on the people. If they don't see my mom come down, they will call me. I like that. They seem to be invested in the people there. I look at the schedule of activities, and I think it is pretty good. I can't imagine anything else that you would add. There is a lot of stuff going on. I know when I go there, it looks clean and things are in working order. She uses the transportation a lot, and she says the drivers are very helpful.

The management seems to be doing a good job. I go to a lot of the activities like bingo and blackjack. The housekeeper does a good job. She comes in and dusts and changes my bed if I want her to. She also cleans the kitchen and the bathroom.

I have been here for 14 years and I love it here and it is very comfortable. I think if I have to be anywhere this is the place I want to be. All the way down the line, everyone is very good. Even in the dining room, they are all great. They are doing their best and working really hard. The food is good. The activities are very good. I think the man that is managing this is fabulous. He is enthusiastic and joins in with everyone. He lifts my spirit and is fantastic.

I chose Lincolnwood because after surveying many places, we felt this was the best place for our situation. Management works really well together and they're accessible as soon as they can be, plus the lady from sales did a very good job with handling what we were looking for initially. Overall, I can't complain about the food. I have made a lot of friends here and I am very satisfied with the community. There are friendly residents around for me to sit with and the staff has a good rapport with the people.

Overall, I felt like I made the right decision to put him there. He liked all the service that he got. My husband seemed to like the food there. He like the music and the animals they brought in for activities. Everything was always picked up and vacuumed by housekeeping. The people that would clean were very nice and friendly. The care staff was fine. The head nurse was very nice. I do think they handled him respectfully. He isn't the easiest person to get along with and I think they did a good job. I thought it was a very nice and positive place.

After two years here I am leaving to move in with my son. My apartments was nice, I was very comfortable and safe here. The housekeeping service was very good. They came in regularly and were very good. They didn’t miss any days. Maintenance was helpful and timely. The activities were excellent. It was good. Nothing is perfect it was very close. I enjoyed the outside musicians who came in. The dining here is very good, really. Most of the time the food quality was very good. I used the transportation provided here one time, it was good, excellent. The managers are good, very well organized, and everything runs smoothly. They know how to handle problems that come up. It was a very good value for everything you got here. I like this place very much, my stay was really good.
