We do have a pretty positive view of the facility overall. The times that I've been there and had meetings with the employees there they have been helpful and courteous. I have seen some interactive activities with the residents and my friend. Everything looks tidy in the community and nothing looks out of place. I think the care staff does a pretty good job of keeping track of all the residents.

Management is very accommodating and tries to work with you as much as they can. The meals are good and the service in the dining room is real good. Everything always seems to be very clean. Housekeeping comes in to get the trash and clean the room. They took him to a doctor's appointment and it went fine. The staff and everybody is really accommodating and nice. Everybody that I have seen really cares about the residents and how they are doing.

We have been there a few times to eat with mom and the meals have been excellent. The lady that cooks there does a great job and caters to what mom likes to eat. She does a great job. The lady that does the activities does a great job. She does really good at trying to get everyone involved. The laundry department does an excellent job. Her clothes are always well kept.

I think the caregivers are timely on delivering the medicine and they are doing okay. The staff took mom out shopping when they got the new van and she enjoyed that. They are doing okay with the activities and she eats all of her food so she must like it. She likes the servers and management is very pleasant. She is happy with her apartment and right now I am okay with the price because she has extra help to pay for it.

I get the feeling that my sister is safe and comfortable by the way she talks about this community. The management is working out well. They have contacted me about a few things and my sister says she is enjoying the food. This community has things for the residents to do. The housekeeping is perfect. Someone does her laundry and her cleaning and she likes that. Someone comes in and sits in her room while she is taking a shower. She likes that. She is happy here and well taken care of.

Mom’s been there since April or May last year, so about nine months. Every day, the activities calendar they send out is chock full of stuff. The schedule is stacked full. Now that they have the van there it's a really valuable service for families. I know they're able now to get a van for transport to doctors' appointments and things. Joan, the Activities Director, went with my mom and stayed with her through the appointment. The van is good, now they can always provide it, and Joan makes it's really flexible and that's reassuring. I've eaten there on family nights. It's commercial food but at the same time I think it's good food. My mom never complains about it and always has enough to eat. From what I've seen it's amazingly good. The inside courtyard had some drainage issues, so the maintenance team bored under the building and improved the drainage lines. Once the water lines froze so they put up insulation up there. Maintenance on the room, they've done pretty well. There is an open drywall joint in the ceiling that has yet to be repaired. Monique has been aggressive getting them to fix stuff. Monique, the Director, and Jenny, the Head Nurse, I would say are good. She's busy but does a fine job, always listens and does a fine job. Those are the two managers I deal with the most. I think they do a fine job as far as Activities and so far. I think they look after the help and train the help to be really good to the residents. Monique gets involved with the residents. I'm pretty impressed with all that. She keeps up on maintenance and improvements. If I have any concerns they address them right away so I have no concerns. Monique, in management, has gone out of her way to help us with insurance questions and even help me on the phone with the insurance company. I know my mom will soon have to have a Medicaid bridge and Monique said at the point she'll sit down with me and help me through it, it'll take 90 minutes. That's extra service. As far as value, for the price charged, it is expensive, but compared to other communities it's a good value.

Management is always very responsive to things, the food is good and the cooks are friendly. This community has a variety of activities. My mom chooses not to take part in some but that is fine and that is why they have a variety. Housekeeping does the cleaning and laundry on a regular basis. She needs help hanging her clothes up when they bring them back and they are always willing to help with that. They had a water leak and her ceiling caved in. She had to move to a different apartment but maintenance got it fixed. When we moved her they didn't install her closet shelf correctly. We noticed it on Saturday night. The next morning, I called the Director, and she had someone up there that day to fix it. They got it fixed very quickly. Some of the light bulbs needed to be replaced and Bob, the maintenance man, was right there after we told him. The caregivers are all excellent. They are really responsive to anything and are very good at calling me and getting things done when there are issues. We had to move my mom temporarily to another room while they were fixing her room. She has a sleep number bed and I thought it was plugged in correctly. I called them and asked if someone could plug it into a different plug and someone went right down to figure it out. They called me after to let me know it was done.

I just think it is a great place. I think the management is wonderful. A lot of the residents are great and it feels like one big family. That is the way I feel. I would say the value is really good. I like how they have someone there 24/7 if they need someone. Everytime I have a question management gets back to me right away. They are very willing to help and find out anything I have questions about or steer me in the right direction. They are just very helpful and go above and beyond what they need to do. I think the food is all homemade. They put a lot of thought into what they are making and what the residents want. Mom has commented several times she really likes the food and she gets enough to eat. Whenever I am there everything is tidy and her room is in good order. They do the laundry once a week and I've never actually seen anyone cleaning the apartment but I can tell it has been cleaned. My mom has said they take real good care of her. The nurses have all been helpful and informative. The activity aide has been helpful with reminding her about things. She needs help with bathing and dressing and they are there to help her.
