Merryvale Assisted Living

It has been four years now and my mom is very happy with the food. She likes the variety and she says that the food is good. She is always complimentary. They have a big variety and they try to have their vegetables and fish. They also have the sweets and I know that she likes that. The servers are very accommodating and they try to get whatever people like to them. I know they have a lot of things available for people who do like it. They take them to Walmart and on little trips. They have exercise classes and they have bingo and have different church singing groups come in. Of all the things that the housekeepers have to do I think they do a great job. In regards to maintenance, as soon as something is addressed he is there to fix it or does whatever needs to be done. He is very accommodating. For the most part they do a fabulous job with the personnel that they have. When I walk in they are very friendly to me. They seem to care about my mom which is very important to me.

It's been almost four years since I moved in and I think the activities are 100%. We have entertainment here and we have something to do here every day. Here we have opportunities to do something every day and I like that. I do everything I can. They have entertainers and children come from schools. They have choirs that come and sing. They have artists. We play bingo. The housekeepers clean and if you ask them to do something they do it gladly. They are good. If they overlook something or I need something extra they will do it. The maintenance staff keeps the building up. They are always painting. The grounds are beautiful. There are flowers year round and the grass is nice. It is really pretty. The transportation staff takes us to church and to a meal once a month. The buses are cool when it is hot out and warm when it is cold. We have a good driver and there is always another activity person on the bus. The care givers are good. If you have to ask them to do anything for you they will do it. They are nice to me.

The management communicates well and runs everything pretty good, pretty smooth. Mom really likes the food and loves the activities, there’s a good variety for both. Every time I go to the community it's really clean and anything mom needs done maintenance comes and does. Thecare givers keep mom on track with all her medicines and anything she needs they let us know. The price is line with everyone else and we’re satisfied with the value we get for it.
