Morningside of Columbus

I have been real pleased so far. I have no regrets so far about being out there. They have been really good to her. The food has been really good. I like the bathroom in her apartment, and she has a large vanity and plenty of room to get a walker or wheelchair out of there. She enjoys listening to music and has gone to a church service in activities. The room is kept clean, and they do her laundry once a week. A little old lady at 108 can be a handful. She still likes to use her walker. They do care for her. THe care staff have gone over and beyond what they are probably supposed to do. They are so good to her. They have been really good to her, and I have been very pleased with Morningside.

This is a great community, and the people running it are great. My parents are super happy. Their apartment is amazing. The food is excellent, and the kitchen staff are personable and know everyone individually. The activities calendar looks great. Housekeeping takes care of the cleanliness of the room and their laundry in a timely manner. Maintenance is making an effort to keep the building and grounds clean and up to date. The nurses all seem to care, and they have good knowledge of all the residents. They know what everyone needs on an individual level, which is great. It is a great value. We looked at other places that were close in price, but the community wasn't as nice. I can't say enough good things about Morningside.

My son chose it for me and I think the price is very good. The food is very good. The housekeeping has been very good as well.

Melissa is very good. She has been very accommodating. We went through all of my mom's needs and she was very thorough. She wanted to make sure she gave my mom the right amount of care. Everyone there has been very sweet and nice that we have dealt with. My mom says the food has been very good. She says that the food is delicious and has not complained once about it. The staff has all been friendly and accommodating. They have assigned seating and they put people together who are at the same level of conversation. My mom will do the exercise and the pet therapy. She has had a thoroughly enjoying time. The housekeeping is very good. The carpet is always well cleaned and the shower and the toilet are always clean. They change her bed on a regular basis. Maintenance has been great. The common areas are maintained…they are very good about decorating. The dining area is always inviting and looks very homey. They have nice settings. They were washing the carpets and everything looks nice and clean. My mom had a fall and the care givers called me immediately to let me know that she had fallen. The care givers are very good. Everything seems to be fine and she is enjoying it and has made friends there. The staff is always constantly looking at her safety. They are constantly making sure she has something on her feet and making sure she has her walker so she doesn't fall. They are very good about safety and keeping hallways clear. They make sure someone is at the front door so that no on goes in and out.

My father moved out because she needed to be closer to family. The management team is responsive to my calls, prompt, and always answers what I need to know. My dad is satisfied with the food and variety of food there. Housekeeping was good and we have no complaints about the care givers, they were always respectful. He felt safe and comfortable there in a nice apartment, and we thought it was a good value.

The reason we chose this community for my dad is because I had some medical people that have worked with patients at Morningside and they said Morningside was far superior to the other places in Columbus. Management is very communicative, very helpful and they take my dad's needs into consideration. We're very pleased with the care. It looks like the building is really well taken care of and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeeping and laundry services have been good. I'd say that the price is very fair and I think my dad is having a pretty good experience there.

The management was just very receptive of any of her needs and any of my concerns that I may have. They were very diligent in meeting our expectations. My mother enjoyed the meals. She always ate all of her meals. The transportation staff was great about getting her to her appointments. If I was running late they would do that for me last minute. The caregivers were very good with my mother. They kept a close eye on her when the private sitters were not there.

The community was the most receptive to my friend's dog, they were just very receptive when I called and explained and were really nice. That was a dealbreaker for him, it was just really nice to talk to somebody that was receptive about taking his dog. Everybody in management is very nice, receptive and responsive. They're really good about housekeeping, the inside is always clean and smells good, there's nothing that's in need of repair. He seems real happy and he seems to be doing well.

Everyone seemed to be happy to be working there and they seemed to genuinely care about the residents there. Melissa and Alice were very helpful and kind. They are quite hands on with the residents. They handle issues with the residents in a very caring and professional way. The dining room always looks spotless. The food smells good and looks good. The staff is very sweet to the residents. The community is always very clean. I have never gone in and smelled urine. It always smells good. The caregivers are very kind and very attentive.

The caregivers were great; there were a lot of them. They were really good. I think Morningside is a fabulous place, I'd recommend it to anybody. It was very clean. The activities were pretty cool; I really enjoyed watching the staff helps. The Activity Director really reached out to people, so I thought that was important. Overall I thought they did really good. I thought the management was pretty good. Management was great. They were always available to me, Melissa was great. I think the value is awesome. I don't have any qualms with Morningside; I thought it was a great place.
