Morningside of Gainesville

The month my brother-in-law was there he said was the happiest he had been in years. The price was fine. His room felt like his home away from. The management is the best. Cindy, Rayna, Janelle, and Juanita couldn't have been any better. The people were friendly and it was always clean. He played Bingo and joined in the activities that he was able to do. The rooms were fine and no maintenance needed. The caretakers were very good. They couldn't have been any better. If anybody has to be somewhere like that, that's as good as it can be.

They're all very friendly and my dad really likes them all. The staff was very accommodating for us with the move in. I ate there one time and it was very good food. My dad thinks it's all really good food. Even the Executive Director will go down there and help, it seems like every time I'm there for a meal service, everyone is there as far as management and med techs, everyone is helping, so it's very well covered. I think it's very good as far as cost for the services being offered, I think it's a good value. There is a lot being done and everything is taken care of. Everybody there is nice. They're fantastic all the way from the initial contact until yesterday when I saw her. All of the staff has been great and easy to deal with. If I ever need anything I feel like it's answered as soon as possible. I've had a great experience with them.

It's good quality for the cost. They're very informed, informative, and efficient in the management office. Housekeeping is very good, it's exactly as it was presented. They do light housekeeping and sanitize the bathroom, which I think is appropriate. I have been satisfied with the care and overall maintenance of the building.

Michelle that works with Morningside picked that one for us to go look at. When we got there and met the people and saw how it is like a home-like place, we decided to put my brother-in-law in there. It's more of a home-like place with the rockers on the porch and the garden in the back, so it's more like you're at home when you're not at home. Every time we go into his room it's clean. Since he's been there he's been playing bingo and joining in the TV room so I think it's been good for him. We met Cindy and Vail who are really nice, they're all real friendly.

Management has been very accommodating, made things easy for me. In two weeks my dad gained 7.5 pounds he needed, that says a lot for the food. The dining staff is so sweet, they're just great. Dining has been a very positive experience for my dad. If I'm ever there around a meal time they invite me to join, I always feel very welcome. They've got a lot of stuff to do. The Activities Director is encouraging and positive, actually goes out to invite residents, not just expect them to show. It's always clean in there, housekeeping always come on schedule so dad knows when to expect them, he always knows when his laundry is going to be picked up, it's very good.
The facility is always very nice and clean. Any little thing that needs to get done gets done immediately. The caregivers are so sweet. Melissa gives my dad a hug every time she leaves his room, they are very conscientious, they made my father feel very welcome, feel like part of the family. I was really worried about how he would transition from living on his own, and they have just been so attentive that it's made it so easy. Cindy immediately returned my call because dad is going to rehab for two weeks, and she told me all my options, went over everything. Everyone makes you feel so welcome, when I walk in staff and residents know my name and say hi, even some families of residents know me by now. It's great.
