Morningside House of Satyr Hill

The reason we went to Morningside House was the friendliness of the staff. Every staff member, no matter what their position is, was friendly and had a smile. I've been pretty much pleased with everybody. The management staff has great, open communication. Any time I've had a question it has been answered almost immediately. Everybody is super friendly as well, Terri at reception - you couldn't ask for a better face for walking into a facility. She makes you feel welcomed and at home immediately. She knows us by name and knew who we were seeing after just a few times going in there. I have only eaten there a few times myself, and it was all good. I appreciate that my uncle has the meal and dessert. The maintenance guys are super nice. They're always painting something and the grounds crew is always making new pretty landscaping. I've been very pleased.

Everyone who deals with my father has been very attentive and I believe that my choice of that facility has really paid off for me. I am glad there are facilities like this. They try to make the living experience there as close to home with as many celebrations as possible. My father loves all the food. His room is always clean and in order. They painted the facility and have got some new furniture. The gentleman that drives is such an excellent person, you can't ask for someone better. The women that handle the residents in Memory Care are saints. I believe I have him in the best place possible.

They're doing a fantastic job there, I was really impressed. The caretakers have done a good job and have more patience than I have. They take care of my sister and get her dressed, get her to the bathroom, they've done a fantastic job. I've seen the maintenance staff working around there so I figure they're taking care of everything and the place looks fantastic. She seems to like everything they have in the dining room. They're right on top of things.

My aunt's been there for over two years and everything's been in place. If I have a question the caregivers answer me right away or always get back to me. She seems happy enough with the dining. The housekeepers are very clean and very good. I think it's a good value.

The price is reasonable. It's a perfect space for my mom, she likes the room. It's very comfortable for her. My mom’s seems to enjoy the food there and loves the people working there. She loves bingo and they have bingo, so that makes her day and she loves the sing-alongs. Any maintenance that had to be done they've gotten done on a timely basis. Everything looks nice, they decorate for occasions. The outside looks very nice.

The therapy is what stood out to us. Everyone there, no matter what their role is, has gone above and beyond. It's been excellent, and the staff serving the food has been more than accommodating to my sister. The food is very well balanced, and the variety is great. My sister had a massive stroke and can't speak, and she's only 50. And the dining staff there has really gotten to know her and how to communicate with her. The healthcare staff has gone out of their way with my sister. It has exceeded my expectations. They encourage us to call them so they can assist. Overall we could not be happier with the therapy she's getting and the staff there. Everyone has been absolutely wonderful.

We looked at several places in our area and I kind of really liked the feel of it. It seemed homier and the residents seemed happy there. It was closer to our home. They have a lot of activities and the staff does a lot and brings people in from outside. The residents seem to enjoy the activities the times I've seen it. We've had a pretty good experience with Nick and Mike, we met with Mike and did a small tour and he did a pretty good job. Nick was the sales guy and pretty much explained everything to us. Everything worked out pretty good

Price wise it was the deciding factor. As for appearance and cleanliness it was just as good too. Nick, who represented Satyr Hill was very good about it, gave me a deal with moving in, which was very good. I would definitely recommend it; I'm pleased with what's going on there. Security is good, they do a good job. For what my mom's going through in her condition, they're very good. She has kidney failure. The care staff takes their time with her and they're very understanding. The facility is in good repair and looks nice, that caught my eye. The place is very pleasant, bright, smells and looks good. It's always fresh looking.

Chris has been very good to work with over the last two years, there have been bumps in the road but we work things out. Chris is a wonderful person. I can go on a business trip and not worry about her because she is safe. She loves the music and the activities seem fine to me. Mike, the maintenance guy, has been very good with anything that needs to be done. As they say, 'It passes the smell test.' It never has been a problem. My mother hated taking showers. But the care staff has done very well with that. Everything that they do there, they are pretty good. They are good with the emergency call button. She doesn't use it often. But I have seen them respond quickly to it. But overall, with keeping her clean, I like how that is going. Everybody is happy with that.
