Northlake Gardens

A good bit of the staff has been there a long time and that's made my mother more comfortable. My mother is pleased with the food. They have activities and she enjoys like Bingo. Everything looks nice and orderly in her apartment and the room had fresh paint and flooring upon move-in so that was nice. It's costly in general, but comparatively it's moderate and reasonable.

I think the price is reasonable for the services provided. We've redone my mom's room and it looks really cool. The woman over the dietary services is very accomplished but she's also very kind and loving to the clients and uses food to nurture them. The staff is fine. Everyone adores Ms. Shea. They offer consistent activities. It's an old building but I think they work to keep it bright and clean. The caretakers are generous in a way that I could never be. It takes a special person. All in all I think it's a reasonable price for the services provided.

The healthcare staff has been great, my dad is very happy with their response time to him. He said he's participated in many things and there's plenty for him to do. Amelia, in management, handled it very gracefully. She stopped what she was doing and took care of things and it was greatly appreciated. I appreciate the communication, it was definitely lacking at the other place. I've been getting emails letting me know what I need to do and how they can help me. The head of memory care took the time to give us a tour unannounced and we were just impressed with the longevity of the staff there.

I moved my mother in because I heard from two church members that the people there seemed happy and well-adjusted, and it was close by. The care staff has been very helpful and very attentive. The evening people, Olga and another woman, help her with things that her arthritis won't allow her to unfasten, so she is actually sleeping in jammies again rather than in her day clothes. She's gained three pounds in two weeks! She's eating again, which is wonderful. So far the activities have been well attended. I've enjoyed the activities with her and the staff will actually come and bring her to activities. In general, I am exceptionally happy. I have already recommended it to three people!

The overall cost is of course is expensive, but so far you are getting what you put in. It felt like a family environment at the community. Northlake is clean and all the residents seem happy. So far every time I come there everything is clean, her bed is made and the floors are mopped. My mom can't talk because of the stroke but you can tell from her facial expressions that they are treating her really well. I would recommend it for the location and the price and for the care and the family orientation.

There's a lot of care and concern. The staff are very courteous, everyone says hello. I really feel that what you put out, you get back. The management staff is very courteous, attentive to my dad, always speaking to him. He tells me they're so nice. The housekeepers are coming regular, they take the trash out daily, and it seems they're keeping it clean. We get the calendar of activities, there's a lot available, but he's not ready to try them. It's an okay value. I'm fine with the price given the care and attentiveness they've been giving him.
