Oakwood

The staff is very good and really looks after him. They'll do whatever you ask them to do. The price is right and it's a great place.

They have a very good management team and it seems like they have been here for awhile and are doing a good job. I think they have pretty good activities, the housekeeping is very good and maintenance is very quick to help and they do a good job. The transportation is awesome because they have taken him to special functions that the whole group isn't going to. For the most part, the care has been consistent and great. My dad is happy here and doesn't want to move.

Matthew and the head nurse are really attentive and they answer any questions. The care givers spoil my mom. The activities staff keep the residents real busy. Maintenance staff is awesome and it is a beautiful place. It is the best place and I recommend it to everyone.

I think the services we get for what we pay is pretty good. My mom's apartment is good and roomy. It is spaceous. I think the accommodations are plenty adequate. She always has plenty to eat and I know that she enjoys the devotionals this community offers. Housekeeping does her laundry and her room seems to be clean enough. The caregivers all seem to be courteous and attentive. They try to do the best with what they have to work with. From what I have see they make sure everything is taken care of.

The management is attentive and friendly. Everything I have asked them for they have been able to help me with. I ate there once and it was very good. The service has been great and the staff there has been very, very friendly. My mom gets really involved with the card games and bingo. The activities have been great. My mom's room is always very neat and orderly. The building is super clean. The care givers have been super friendly with her and very good with her. D'Andre is doing a great job. I really like him. He is very personable and fun. Jessie, the activities manager, is very good too.

On the whole, the value at Oakwood is pretty good and I am satisfied with the care my mother receives at the community. My mother-in-law was also at the community before she passed, so we knew about the care for a long time and I had no hesitations with placing my own mother in there. I do know they look after her very well, they're very friendly to her and she seems to like everybody.

It isn't too big and small enough that they get special attention. I think it is an excellent place. Mom picked it out herself in 2011 and signed herself up that day. I've heard other prices and this is very reasonable for what she gets. I have eaten there several times and I have thought it was very good food. Everything is clean and very nice. The maintenance man is excellent. He is very good. He is fixing something every time I am there. He is responsible, friendly and on the job. Everything looks very nice. She has used the transportation to go to her doctors. The drivers are really good. They have very good care staff. They call me if they need to do something or something has happened. They are very good. I tell my children that is where I want to go when it is time to put me away.

They were the closest one to us and when we got there we were impressed with DeAndre. He was just wonderful. Mom has a lot of anxiety and when that happens someone in the care department will get on the phone to either me or my sister and let her talk. They have been wonderful. The building is so cute and welcoming. My mom says the food is wonderful. They have all been just marvelous at helping me understand how all of this works because I am very new at this. Anytime I call or email they get right back with me. I am ready to move in there myself and have them take care of me.
