Orchard Park at Southfork

My friend has lived at the community for the last year or so and so far it has been a good experience. The leadership is okay for the most part. I am satisfied with the activities; they could have a bit more though. Housekeeping and maintenance do a good job. I would say the staff overall is fairly responsive and accessible when needed.

Orchard Park is above and beyond. Management is very personable, they address all questions and concerns, and they make you feel like your family member is part of their family. Maintenance is always attentive. Transportation is wonderful. Everybody is so kind and friendly. If there is anything that needs to be addressed, they always contact me. The care staff keeps me informed. The caregivers are awesome. Everybody at that community is great. From the time you walk in the door you're acknowledged, they will talk to you, it is really a family atmosphere. I am so grateful; we have great peace of mind.

We just moved because it was close and a lady, Nicole, helped me locate it. My dad just came from a hospital and needed to go straight into Assisted Living so time was of the essence and that was a great place for him. I haven't had any issues. Everybody that I've talked to or needed to contact or anything has been great. Everything's been good. I haven't had any major issues. Maintenance helped him set up the TV and has been great. If he needs anything, they're there for him. The building looks good; they've actually been updating it and painting it and everything so it looks good. Smells great and that’s a plus. It is a little pricey, but we like the place and can keep affording it.

The management staff has been very accommodating. All of the concerns have been taken care of. My father is well-tended to. I have no complaints; I have been very pleased with everything that has been going on. They have been taking him on quite a few field trips. Everything looks neat and clean, I am very impressed.

The management staff is really good. They take care of the people. Any issues my mother has had, they take care of them right away. The dining staff is super; pleasant, nice and brings everybody everything they want. The caretakers try to do everything they can for everybody. We haven't had many complaints.

I think they do a good job managing the facility. They have a lot of residents and they know the details and they know my mom and the other residents. They do a lot to make sure they are well taken care of and are also engaged in living at the facility. The staff is accommodating and if they don't see my mom at dinner they will come over and see if she is coming to dinner or see if she wants them to bring her some food. They have a really good guy named Robert. He is very personable and friendly with all the residents and even me. If they need something he will jump on it. He makes it happen pretty fast. The outside and landscaping looks fine. The staff seems to be very attentive to what their needs are. I think the cost for the level of care is fine. We have been really happy with the facility. I feel totally safe with my mom there and they check on her several times a day.

I've just been astounded at how good-natured the management staff is. It's just amazing to me that the workers are able to keep up their spirits. They talk to the residents and give them a hug. They're just really good people. The driver is just the nicest, most accommodating person. They keep everything locked down in the Memory Care unit. They are very, very careful. The housekeepers are very diligent. They do a good job with laundry. My husband enjoys the meals. I definitely feel like we're getting our money's worth.

Whenever I had a question or I was trying to get things clarified, the management team responded right away. The food sure looked good and my mom said it tasted good. They gave us a calendar of activities and they came to her room to see if she would like to participate. I wanted to go to some of the activities. The care staff for the most part was polite and accommodating. The maintenance gentleman had to do something in the room and he was Johnny on the spot. He was very polite and nice. Orchard Park is second to none.
