Orchard Park at Victory Lakes

I have never seen anyone be disrespectful to her. Everything is in working order. The ladies are keeping up with her laundry. She has never been an activities person but she is participating with them. She has been more social since moving there.

My mom has been there for a year and anytime we've asked for assistance they been good about helping with anything we need. I feel like they keep the facility very clean. My mother is a little clean freak and always comments on how clean things are. They are very accommodating and seem to get the maintenance done really quick. They did just start administering her medication to her for us and that seems to be working out well.

When I go all of my questions are answered. If I have any concerns they are addressed. When my mom does eat she likes it. My mom doesn't participate in all of them but I know they have a lot going on. They once had somebody come and play the piano and she talked about it for days. She really liked that. The laundry is always done and they check her clothing to make sure she has clean clothes. The building is always real clean and nice. Every time I have gone the care givers help me out and they know where she is even if she is just in her room napping. They always know who we are and they act like they want to know what is going on when we go there.

What I saw was residents out in the activities rooms playing games and in the dining room talking to one another. The staff was extremely involved with what they were doing. All residents were all involved. I wanted my Father to feel apart of a community instead of sitting in a room. That's really what impressed me about the community.

It is a beautiful location and feel lucky that my mom is able to stay there. All in all, I really like it. Her apartment is super cute and opens to the courtyard. The management staff are wonderful people. They are always available and really nice. When I go to visit, it seems like it is very maintained. It is always clean and never dirty. They care staff have been great with my mom. Any time there is a situation or issue they call me right away.

Management was extremely fantastic about showing me around, answering questions and following up. If you put in a maintenance request, it's a miracle if it isn't done the first day. Housekeeping has been great, activities are very good and the dining service is very accommodating. Overall, I had visited at least 10 places in and around Texas City, but I think Orchard Park is by far the best for the value.

I checked three places and there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted Orchard Park. The dining is great, and the management staff is accessible. You get what you pay for.

They have really good food, the maintenance staff is very helpful and the transportation has been good. For what you get for the cost it is on the better side.

Mother seems to love the care staff. They treat her with respect and treat her well. As long as she is happy with them, I am happy. As far as cleanliness, care and respect that is why she stays there. I recommend it quite a bit, I tell people about it all the time.

The management does a pretty good job. Maintenance is great, We went through a hurricane and they responded really well. Of the other places we looked at we chose this because we liked it the best...it was the cleanest and we know it is well run.
