Overlook at Cedarcrest

Management is good and very responsive to any issues or questions we might have. The food is well made for the elderly to chew. It is soft and tender. Housekeeping keeps up with the laundry and changes the sheets, and the apartment looks clean when I go in. It is cleaned consistently. Maintenance is very responsive and comes within one to two hours. The building is great and looks like a hotel. The caregivers respond in a timely manner. I think the value is very reasonable compared to the care that they provide.

I love the apartment. It is spacious. I love the layout. It makes it accessible for people with special needs. I like the décor of this place as well. Eric was great to work with and he wrote things down. He was easy to understand on how things work and how the facility took care of the residents. I felt like getting her situated with the pharmacy and doctors was really east and efficient. I really appreciated that aspect of things. I did have a meal there when we were looking, and it was very good. I know my mom has had only good things to say about the food so far. I go in a couple times a week, and the room is very tidy. Her clothes are organized and clean. From my perspective, everything is kept at a very high standard. It seems like everyone is very organized and well aware of everyones challenges and situations.

Eric, the executive director came across as being forthright and honest as opposed to a sales person. He also came across as being a caring individual who cared and had a relationship with different residents there. Several times we came to look at the facility before Barbara moved in and you could see him interacting with residents and it always with a smile on the resident's face and his face so you knew there was a good relationship there. The maintenance staff were responsive and took care of things with no problems and no hassles and no issues. The condition of the facility is good and it is not run down and it doesn't look neglected. It appears to be well maintained and it leaves a good impression. The care seems to be going good and they communicate well. For the medical I am satisfied and happy at the present time.

We liked that it was small, close to my house, and it's a very nice place. The management team is very helpful, very nice, and always seem to be willing to help you. The whole move-in process, there wasn't any trouble. They're top notch. My mother's always talked about how good the food is. We see an activities calendar every time we go up there, and there are at least three or four activities every day. There are plenty of things for her to do if she wants to. Her apartment is always clean when I come up there. Laundry is always taken care of. Maintenance helped hook up her TV and helped us with what we needed. Everything is always in good shape in the apartment. The care staff is always very helpful, have nice smiles on their faces, and you can always find them all over the place. I would absolutely recommend it.

Management has been helpful and get back to you quickly if you have to leave a message. Everything is clean. It's very appealing from the street. Once you walk in I like the stations they have in each hall where the aides are very visible. She lives in the Memory Care section and they always have activities going on. I think it's well run and we are very pleased.

I really liked the looks of things when I visited, everyone was very nice and the price was right. The day I went in for a tour, I was given a very thorough tour and I was given contact information and I have had all my questions answered promptly. My mom has been happy with the majority of the meals. I like how the residents have choices. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. They have a consistent schedule of activities. The activities director seems to love what she is doing. The rooms look tidy and clean and the facility is kept up nicely.

I think the cost for services is excellent. It's definitely a good value and is manageable. The management staff was very aware of her from a safety perspective. The management team has been available to answer any of my questions. They've been very pleasant to work with. I was very impressed with the needs assessment that they did. We like the restaurant-like atmosphere where she has a choice. The dining staff is very helpful and accommodating. Everything is very clean. Maintenance fixed a leak in her sink when we first moved in. They came within five minutes and fixed it quickly. Pam, in health services, goes above and beyond. She's friendly and wants my mom to have a good experience. She challenges my mom to try things. The aides have been excellent responding to her needs

It seems like it's very comparable. The management staff was very accommodating and receptive. My dad is in hospice care now so we aren't in the dining room area very often but he visited a couple of times and it was wonderful. The maintenance staff helped install a TV and helped us move a couple things that were great. In terms of healthcare staff, they're very compassionate and concerned and on top of being there when needed.

It's close to my house and just had a warm, happy atmosphere. It's great that it's such a small facility and everyone knows everyone. They know who you're there to see, it's great. It's definitely very worth it. My dad was not taking his medications or eating and was living alone and it has made a huge difference in him. I have not seen him this alert and able since before my mom died three years ago. He's doing really well. Kay, in management, was amazing; she walked us through the whole process and just really made us feel comfortable. My dad seems really pleased with the dining. It's beautiful, it's maintained very well. The caregivers have been amazing. They are so kind and he says many times a day someone will walk by and ask him if he needs anything. He says they have been fantastic.

Everyone will say it's expensive but I think it's reasonable. My mom has so much to do that she doesn't know what to do next and that's great. The building itself is immaculate. The care staff is very attentive and it's not just because it's their job. There is just a different mindset of caring there. It exceeded my expectations and I'm pretty picky.
