Palms (Gardens) of Lake Spivey

My father says the caregivers are always very prompt, come by every morning, help him out and take him down to breakfast. They're willing to do anything he asks so I'm very much happy with that. It's very comfortable and nice; we've been more than happy. There are more than enough things to keep him busy. He's constantly saying how great the food and meals are, even when the main course isn't something he likes they are more than happy to fix him a hamburger or whatever he wants. Trish has been very helpful and has kept us up to date with what's going on. It's very reasonable for what he's getting and well worth it.

I have a real nice one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and there is a nice tree that comes up to my balcony. I have hummingbirds and other birds that come to my apartment. Nat and Trish are friendly and helpful. The food has been great. They have a good variety. The service is very good. They are very good at making sure that whatever I ask for, I get. I keep myself busy and there is enough here going on. I like the activities director and everything that we do. The maintenance staff is good about coming right up and taking care of any issues I have. I am really enjoying it and they are doing a great job.

We wanted our mom, primarily, to be in an environment where she would have activities because she is the primary caretaker of our father and the demands of that are very great so we wanted a facility that was clean but also offered amenities of something else to do other than just taking care of dad. Everything has been going really well with management, everything we have requested as far as making it more comfortable for our parents; they have been able to make the necessary adjustments. She did participate in a few activities and said she enjoyed what she did do. It seems like there are definitely other things available she would enjoy.

It's worth it when you sit down and think about the apartment and maintenance, electric and other stuff involved, it comes out close to what you would pay normally. The management staff is very respectful and hospitable. Most of them go out of their way to try and help. Trish and them are great. The people are very hospitable to the residents. Every week at the beginning of the week you get the activity calendar. The food is good and the maintenance staff is very helpful. I feel very safe and comfortable here.
