The Pointe at Cedar Park

I am very impressed overall and would recommend it for anyone looking for that type of care for their family member. I think Wendy does a really good job. It is a family type atmosphere and Wendy treats everyone as individuals. She has a very personal relationship with a lot of these people and make them feel well taken care. I've seen quite a few activities. There is a lot of activities to bring families together. The place looks fairly clean most of the time. I think The Pointe does better than most on cleaning. They come in and clean the apartment once a week. The maintenance staff are very responsive and address issues that come up.

I am very happy with the management. Wendy is fabulous.The food is good and the activities are wonderful. They have so many activities and special events. They really do an outstanding job on activities. I think the housekeeping is good. They come in once a week and do a really good job cleaning. The maintenance is really good. The building is always neat and clean. I think they do a really great job. The caregivers also do a really good job and they work so hard. I will always stop when I see people taking a tour and let them know that when we moved my mother here she was kicking and screaming because she didn’t want to move into assisted living, but she now calls this home and is really happy here. I have told so many people about how happy we are with mom's care here.

At first I thought it was outrageous, but then I stop and think of the amount of care, laundry and housekeeping and I think it is a very good deal. I think it is well managed. I am satisfied with the housekeeping and maintenance service. The care staff comes in and checks my husband's blood pressure and stuff.

Wendy who is the director has been an absolute godsend. She is just wonderful. My parents love the food. They sometimes have their meals in their room and they do a really good job of delivering it for them. The housekeepers keep on top of it. They fold the clothes nicely. There are no complaints at all with housekeeping and laundry. The building is always very clean and there are never any bad odors. It is decorated nicely. The care givers have been very attentive with administering my parents meds. Also, they are very responsive to my mom who can't walk.

I adore the director and the concierge is the one who waits on her and she is fabulous. The other day they put out water with cucumber slices in it. They are trying new things for the residents. From what I have seen they have a great variety of activities and Jessica, the activities director, does a wonderful job. My aunt won the door decorating contest in December. The smile on her face was unbelievable and we hadn't seen her smile like that in a long time. I think the housekeepers do a great job for what they are able to do. She was a hoarder and is now hoarding Styrofoam cups. The cleaning lady could do more if she could get away with getting rid of things my aunt hoards. It is an older community so it doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that other places have but they upgraded some services. They gave timely announcements on when those upgrades would be happening. The medication person is fabulous and I adore her.

Dad has been there over a year and I’m satisfied with the responsiveness of the care givers. Maintenance and transportation are fine, and housekeeping has gotten better. They seem to have good activities and he likes the food pretty good. Management is fine, they’ll call me back when I leave a message. I feel dad is safe there, and comfortable in his apartment, so the value is good.
