The Retreat at SunRiver St. George

The management team has been easy to talk to and communicate with concerning my loved one. He really enjoys the food often requests seconds. The activities department offers a wide variety of things to do. I'm glad he is there in the community, and that he is safe.

I really enjoy the activities. The housekeeping team comes in every week to clean my apartment and they do a good job. The building is very nice and they have good activities that are entertaining.

Grandad has been there since March of 2017 and recently moved from Memory Care to an upper floor. All the CNAs love him, every time I'm over there they're doing something for him. The food's great. When he was in Memory Care, the Administrator down there would pull him out his room and he did a whole lot. Heather is amazing. Even though he is not in Memory Care she still goes and checks on him, and invites him to go do stuff. Anytime anything happens, Housekeeping comes straight in and cleans it up, that is amazing. I never see dirty laundry in his basket, I never see his trash full, and I always see his toilet clean, and that's what's important. When he moved from Memory Care to upstairs there were some light bulbs out and Maintenance took care of all of that before he moved in. I would say the price is okay. There have been a few communication issues, but the rest of it is just awesome.

My sister lives at the community and she says the recreation is good. She loves doing things with everybody and she loves the activities director. Housekeeping does a good job and come consistently. The building is a very nice building. She seems to know and like everybody in the care staff too. My sister is also very happy with the food and never complains about anything.

I couldn’t be happier, they saved our lives. The management staff just care. They absolutely care about us individually. Jose, I even know the chef's name, that's how good it is. He's very good and the meals are nutritious and balanced. Heather is the Coordinator in the Memory Care unit and she is phenomenal. I don’t think the whole operation would be as smooth without her; she is a genius at what she does. Nancy and her crew, all the CNAs, they really do care and take good care of my sister. I am proud when my family comes to visit.

I think the value is great. I know he's paying a lot, but I think he gets good care. I've been there several times, and the food is great. If he doesn't go down they are sweet about bringing up a tray. What they have for activities is great. The lady that does it is very good. I would say she's doing a really good job for everyone. Whenever I've had a problem, maintenance has fixed it. When I was there moving him in, they were good - very responsive. The building does look nice. I know that the healthcare staff give him medication, and they are always real sweet to him. When I have a problem and I call, they are very good about getting it fixed. Overall, I think my friend feels at home.

The man who manages both Retreats in town is excellent and fair. His staff is excellent too. By and large, they are all very cooperative and nice. In Memory Care, they are superb. Housekeeping has always been a good response: on time and as quickly as possible. The cleaning is excellent. The food is generally very good and it is served nicely. My wife is as comfortable as they could make it.

I chose the community for my husband because it's three blocks from our house, and it is a nice place. He was there last August for one month in a regular apartment, and now he's in Memory Care. The management does what I ask them to do, call me back, and keeps in contact with me. Housekeeping is very nice, it's good. They do his laundry and they're doing a very nice job. The employees have all been excellent.
