River Bend House

The management is awesome and are good people. They take their time and answer questions and truly appear to care about the residents there. I think the care givers are really looking out for him. They are well trained and very courteous.

I just couldn't ask for a better situation. Kelly is so personable. Michelle and Andy and all the nurses are great. It is as good as it can get. The management is wonderful. The servers in the dining area are absolutely polite and kind to everyone. Everybody is respectful to everyone out there. This is by far the best I have seen.

Management is fine and my father seems pleased with the food. They added some new exercise equipment and he makes use of that and loves it. The housekeeping is wonderful. He is very proud of his room and has told me they keep it good and clean. It is a beautiful building. The care is great for him. We love that they come around a few times during the day and knock on his door to make sure he is okay. For assisted living it is wonderful and we are absolutely pleased.

Anytime anything happens, management gives me a call, they're really super up there. Kelly handles it very well and always has a smile on her face too. The food is very good to me, my brother's room is always clean, and the healthcare staff are right on top of things. All in all, he feels very safe at River Bend House.

I checked every community in the county and you can't beat River Bend, it is wonderful. The dining room is always beautifully decorated and spotless. The care staff does a good job. They talk to me The nursing people are quite astute in talking with me and looking in on him during the day.

The healthcare staff is good. The activities are typical of an Assisted Living place in terms of arts & crafts, seminars and exercise classes. I have seen her doing arts & crafts and in on the exercise occasionally, but she is always there whenever there is a presentation, so I am satisfied with all of that

Kelly, is the director and she is fantastic. She does a great job and she actually cares. That is something that means a lot to us that she actually cares about the patients. They always have good activities planned. They do outings and stuff. I've never seen the place dirty. The place is always kept immaculate. It doesn't stink, it smells good. I've never heard any complaints from my mother.

My husband has only been at River Bend since January of 2019, but I have just been so impressed with the community because they are the best that I have seen or heard of and he thinks so too. Thus far, management is very much aware of everything that is going on and they have met our needs, so while he hasn't been there a long time, the staff at the community very much make things into a family situation. Regarding his care, the staff have been outstanding and I appreciate that very much because he isn't doing well and doesn't have long, but the staff have been so, so kind. My family has been here overnight and they have been doing everything with giving us privacy and time together, but also providing cookies and asking if there is anything they could do, so I have been impressed with the care that he has been given. After my family and friends saw the interactions of the staff, Nurses and attendants, they say they saw what I meant and have been equally impressed. With regards to general maintenance as far as painting, carpeting and the building, things are in very good condition and while his toilet was stuffed, the staff fixed it quickly. With housekeeping, the staff comes in to clean and if there is something that requires extra attention, they'll do it, so they do a good job. They also have been good with his laundry because any time he is wet they take the items from the room immediately, so there is never any smell. He hasn't participated in activities, but my daughter took him to one of the church services to which he did enjoy, otherwise it seems like the residents are kept busy and activities are available. In terms of his dining experience, they're very accommodating to his needs as far as his diet, what he likes and what he is able to eat, plus they serve the food well, so it's just been a great experience for him overall.

I love them. Kelly and Michelle are amazing, phenomenal. Kelly and her team are amazing. They took excellent care of my dad. I wish my dad lived longer because he was very content there. I expected him to be miserable but he wasn't. He never complained there. He was in good hands. They took exceptional care of him there. When my dad passed away there were people crying and hugging me. They truly cared for my dad. That says a lot. When I walk in the door every person there knew who I was and I live in New Jersey. That left a impactful impression on me that people cared that much. The housekeeping was terrific. The people were amazing. We never had any issues. The maintenance staff always came right away and hung pictures for him. The building was extremely well kept up. The driver was fabulous. She was as sweet as can be. I always met them at the doctor’s office so I know how good she was. They always got him there on time. She was as nice as can be. She always took extra care that he was comfortable. The care givers are really wonderful people there. I was amazed; if my dad would hit the button it was less than 60 seconds that someone would show up and if they didn't turn off that button someone else would show up. They were amazing. He adored the people there and they adored him. I was absolutely ecstatic about how they treated him and took care of him.

Mom has been there over four years, and for what they charge and where she lives, it is a beautiful place. Travis, the cook there, has to puree my mom's food and they do an awesome job. The servers cut it up, puree it, do whatever, everything in their power to make sure she doesn’t choke due to her issues with swallowing, and the food quality is always good. They have bingo and all that, they have a lot of activities. She enjoys the church services, she does do bingo sometimes, and they've got a new exercise room. They have a lot for the residents to do. She has doctors' appointments and uses the transportation there, and Larry, the driver is awesome. The bus is always clean, well-maintained, and running. The management team is always wonderful and friendly to my mom. Maintenance hung a picture for her and they have fixed her wheelchair. The maintenance man is very nice. The building is well-kept, always clean, and is nice and neat. Housekeeping does mom's laundry on a certain day and always available to help. They always keep her apartment clean and tidy. All the care givers always go above and beyond and are good to mom. She also gets hospice care. They do an excellent job and kudos to them. It takes a lot of patience to do what they do.
