Sage Desert

It does appear to be a competitive price in this market. I have had good interactions with management. All the people have been good and helpful when I have needed something for my sister. She is happy with the dining here and I would say the food is good. They go on mystery rides and she helps bake cookies. They do several things in activities. Housekeeping keeps the place clean and neat. I see my sister's reaction to the staff when she sees them and she is happy to see them so they must be doing something right.

Sage Desert is our 3rd place and for Assisted Living, location and quality, I'd say the price is fair. Management is very easy to talk to and so far, I haven't had any problems. I really like the dining staff and the activity staff always have something going on, whether it's games or other activities, so I think they're great. She doesn’t participate a whole lot in activities personally, but she does her best to get to the painting classes and she did go out to the Christmas events, which she enjoyed immensely. With regards to cleanliness, the gal who does my mother's housekeeping is excellent and about as sweet as they can be and maintenance is great, they've been on the ball. With the few people I have dealt with, they've been very congenial and they keep the building in great shape because it is beautiful and it's like walking into a fancy hotel when you enter the community. Regarding her care, the staff is very nice and they're very sweet to her, so I have been satisfied with services that are provided to her and think she feels comfortable at the community.

Chris, the director, does an excellent job. Whenever there is a problem or issue like I had to move my grandmother from assisted living to memory care and that was done in a matter of a few hours. Debbie, from sales, does a great job also. They activities staff have been good about helping her. They have activities calendars posted and signup sheets posted everywhere. They do a nice job and everyone is friendly. The maintenance staff helped move her downstairs and get things set up for her. We had a clogged up toilet once and that was instantly resolved. The building is brand new and looks perfect. The care staff does a good job. They are always willing to help me when I need it.

Compared to other places, the price at this community is fair. Management has been receptive and do everything they should be doing. The food quality is okay and my mom likes bingo. The caregivers at this community are all good as well.

The food and service that Dad gets from the dining department seems adequate. We are pleased with the activities, houskeeping and transportation services. The care staff is friendly and helpful.

The reason I chose this community for my mom is because it's a little over half a mile from my house and in speaking with Chris, the director, I like his vision and I like his management style which is hands on. Chris is amazing and if he sees something that needs to be done he does it instead of waiting for someone else to come and do it. There is always someone there, the care staff is marvelous. I have never failed to see caregivers out and about doing what they're supposed to do. I don't see them sitting around chatting, they're always with someone and I haven't encountered anyone who hasn't been kind.

We chose this community for my in-laws because it's a wonderful facility. Management is very interested in everything about their residents, they're just great. The food is beautifully presented and in the correct portions for elderly people. I have actually eaten with my in-laws a few times and it's just wonderful and the servers are really good. Maintenance installed the TV for them; he's a very good maintenance man. The grounds are fabulous. There is an inner courtyard so they can get out and walk around in the sunshine on the paths, the place is immaculate. I would definitely say it's worth every penny.
