The Sheridan at Laumeier Park

We had looked at about 14 different facilities, and we both liked this one. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, and it was pretty close to the neighborhood we had lived in for the last 55 years. I would give a gold star to the management. Holly was outstanding, Paige, and Mark, it blows my mind how he walks down the hall and he knows everybody in this building, and he knows them by first name. The whole staff has just been overwhelming for us. Scott, and all of them are really good people. All you have to do is call maintenance and they're up here. They do a terrific job. Judy is kind; they come in about every 2 hours even during the day to check in. They do a wonderful job cleaning the apartment and also doing the laundry and that kind of thing.

Management has been very helpful with the whole process. Mark and Holly especially are great. The food is very good. Housekeeping takes care of her laundry just fine and whenever there is a spill, they are prompt to come and clean things up. The healthcare is excellent. I think the cost is very reasonable compared to other communities.

In general, overall it's pretty good there. Not much to complain about. When they put on a "show" I'd consider them an 11/10 rating. The chef there is fantastic. From what I know the quality of food and services are good. The building looks good and the apartment does as well. No concerns.

I really like the place. It is beautiful and my mom is enjoying it. I think they are doing a good job. I really like Scott the maintenance guy. I really like Annette in nursing, she is really good. I know the new nursing director, who is Shelly, has listened to some of my concerns just about attending to the personal needs of my mom and she has been available. It is a big endeavor to meet one person's every need. The accommodations are good and the overall service they are working on.

It's very expensive, but it is a nice place and my mom is safe there. We are happy with it. I am very satisfied. Management has been very responsive to any concerns we've had. You always have some vivacious ones and some lazy ones, but the nurses have all been great. The maintenance staff has been very responsive to anything we've called them about. She doesn't participate in a lot of the activities, but the ones she has are good. We have been satisfied.

Overall, in the general sense, it's been a good situation for my mom. They do a good job with food preparation. The service is good and there is a good variety. There are a number of activities every day and mom will normally take part in an activity or two every day. The caregivers make sure she gets her medicine. The management staff has contacted me if there are issues, and they've got staff there that does a good job. They are paying attention to the people there that need assistance.

The staff has been very attentive. They are the best that we have dealt with so far. They took pride in their unit and they have taken time to get to know us and know our names. My mother says the food is very good and has no complaints whatsoever. She enjoys the activities very much. There is stuff for her to do all the time. Her room has been cleaned twice a day. The facility looks very nice. It is very well kept up, does not smell. Anita has been very personable. She calls me with updates. They have made her feel welcome, like this is her community. I would live there if I could.

Megan, the Director of Memory Care, is very helpful and caring. If I had any complaints, I know I could tell her and she would take care of it. Don, the chef, seems very concerned about everything and wants to make sure the food is good. My mom is vegetarian so they are good about making sure she doesn’t get any meat. They are keeping my mom busy. Her apartment gets cleaned once a week and they leave a note saying that they were there and the time they were there. They all have a very good attitude. They are all very caring and gentle towards my mom.

The staff is a lovely. It is a good location. They offer a lovely dining area and laundry facilities and everything was pretty much included in the price. Everybody has been amazing, real responsive and inclusive of what my mom wanted out of this experience. All of the management seems to get that it was a hard decision, and were compassionate and inclusive. They offer a wide variety of activities such as cooking classes, art classes, trips, entertainment, a lot of things to do. The caregivers are all very fine; the care she's received is very good. The care staff is very friendly. I hope they keep up the good work.

It was a pretty good price for what he got. Compared to other places the price was a little lower, and I really liked that it was locked-in until 2019. It was good. The food was good and they gave them a variety of choices. I ate there a few times and every meal I shared with them was really good. They now offer morning and afternoon snacks which is great. Housekeeping was fairly good. It was a good experience; it made good memories for my father in his last days. Overall it was a good experience, we made good friends. My mom still likes to go visit and they allow that, it's great.
