St. Augustine Plantation

The management does a nice job. They know me and my mom, if there is an issue they call me. Megan and Sheryll do a real nice, there are others too that are great. I am Very happy with the activities. She likes the music and the different things they're doing. It seems like the healthcare staff is doing a good job. They definitely keep up with things around here.

They've got some really nice people that work in housekeeping. I know the lady that does the laundry is nice too. The healthcare staff does a good job and is always there to help my mom when she needs it. The maintenance is good and they come whenever they are needed. We haven't had any major complaints.

I have compared this facility to other places and I am happy that we can afford this facility. The management staff responds well and they are very attentive to my father. He says the food is good. His room is always clean and his garbage is always empty. The caretakers are very nice and very helpful. I have never noticed anything that is broken or needs to be replaced. I haven't heard any notable complaints.

The person-to-person interface is invaluable. The price is very reasonable for all the amenities they provide. Management has been very attentive and proactive with providing us information. The chef actually visited my father in the hospital to learn about his nutritional needs. The caregivers checked on him during his hospital stay. He has a very good rapport with them. They all know his name, any member of the staff can give us information when we ask.

The community presents itself well and I'm proud for people to visit my mom there. It's probably one of the best. The manager was always open and accessible to any problems I had. The maintenance men try to make things look nice every day. The bus driver was very pleasant. Those ladies in housekeeping are wonderful. They talk to you and don't ignore you. By in large, it has been a good experience.

Any problem I've had, they've taken care of it almost immediately. I have the phone number of the director, the sales and marketing lady, and the head nurse. And they told me to call whenever I need them, and they seem to mean it. The nurse has been delightful. She's been helpful. We're still getting my husband's paperwork done, so she's left me notes and envelopes of stuff, so she's been very responsive. I would recommend the facility to others, and already have. I actually found this place because another facility that was too full recommended this place to us. I visited 9 facilities, and this place was the best for him by far.

We're pretty satisfied with it. Any concern that I've had, they've taken care of it pretty quickly, so I have no complaints. The caregivers are excellent and the laundry service and housekeeping is wonderful. The cook is wonderful and a very nice person, and does a good job and the dining hall staff is wonderful. Overall, I think the management staff is wonderful.

The thing that impresses me is that the management doesn't change there. Her stay at St Augustine Plantation was great and the staff was wonderful. She said that she never met an employee there who wasn't nice. There was always so much going on that was entertaining. My mother didn't take much part in that like she should, but that was her forte. St Augustine Plantations was all immaculate. I was never there when they weren't cleaning a floor, shampooing a floor, or doing something. The food is wonderful and the staff does an incredible job. I think she'll be back soon.
