Weatherwood

We chose the community for mom because it was clean, smelled good and the people were friendly. It seemed like a good environment. The management staff have been super helpful and always available. They have gone above and beyond in the help we needed and stuff we didn't know we needed. They staff all been very caring and attentive and the food is always good.

I know when we looked at other places seven years ago they all ran about the same. We could move her to a cheaper place but we wouldn’t get as good of care. The food looks good and the few times we've gone I see them out there listening to music and doing activities. They do take her to doctor's appointments in the community van and that’s very helpful. The caregivers are always very kind, helpful, and when we ask questions they are always there to answer them. I think they have done a great job.

I love that she is there and she is so happy. My aunt has enjoyed the activities she has participated in. The maintenace has been great. When I've visited the grounds are nice and green. She uses the transportation to go to the doctor and it works out just fine for her. The care staff is good with distributing her mediciation to her and keeping me updated with anything she made need.

In regards to the price, services and accommodations provided at Weatherwood, I'd say the community is a good value for my mother. The healthcare staff is respectful, knowledgeable, accessible and responsive, so they do a good job. In terms of maintenance, the times that I have been out there and seen something, it's always taken care, otherwise the apartment maintenance is satisfactory. Regarding cleanliness, I have always felt that the housekeeping staff does it well, do a lot and stay on top of it, so we've had no issues with that. While she doesn't participate in activities, it seems like the activities are well received by the other residents at the community. Lastly, I think the management does a pretty good job too. With my experiences, any time there's a question, it's taken care of quickly and they're very friendly. They also seem concerned about issues when they happen, so overall it's been a good experience for her.
