The Wentworth at Draper

I know my dad loves it. He loves the staff, he loves the people - he doesn't want to go anywhere else. I don't know if you can put a price on someone taking care of a loved one. I couldn't do it full time and I'm amazed that they do it. Management is very informative, and they are very respectful. They show a lot of compassion and care. He loves the food. When it is time to eat, he is out the door! He doesn't even stay to talk to family if they're there! When I walk in I am so impressed. Mindy and Sharron are usually there and they play games with them and do quizzes and talk. I love to see that. I think that's awesome. The maintenance guys are always there to help and they help him if I'm not around. They've helped him with his TV and gotten things taken care of. They've been really good about getting things taken care of. He loves both of the bus drivers, Gary and Mindy. They are very personable and nice - letting him know when his appointments are. I love him but he is very difficult and very needy. The caregivers have always been there if he needed something and made sure it was taken care of. They get a hold of us if they can't do it and we'd get it taken care of. I am grateful that they keep us notified and they help us out. They're doing a fabulous job.

The management staff has been really good, working with me on everything. They're always extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff keeps her room clean and really nice. I don’t think you could get any better care anywhere. All I can say is they do a great job with my mother. When I talk to my niece over in Grand Junction, they have my aunt in a place that costs the same as here, but she has to share a room. There's no comparison. They don’t know when I'm going to show up, but every time I do they're doing a great job.

I think it's a good value. They've been very kind to dad and made him feel wanted there. His apartment has been good. The housekeepers do his laundry and they've been pretty good at keeping that done. We haven't needed much maintenance, but when we did, they were there. He's had a lot of problems and they've been there to help him out. The caretakers are doing very well and they check on him every hour. We just love the staff. They're very friendly and we've got to know them all. They're very responsive and let us know what's going on with him.

My sister was at the community for about a month and she was safe and comfortable. Cindy was very friendly and helpful in the management office. The building was nice. The caregivers always seemed to be friendly when I was there.

The administrative staff is responsive and they have assisted whenever they are able to. They have done an excellent job. The quality and variety of food has been excellent. The servers are excellent. They try to remember what my mother likes and makes sure she can get it. They seem to offer quite a bit of activities. They always try to include her when they can. They are learning what she can and cannot do. The housekeeping is excellent. The building is maintained very well. They are doing better than we thought. She is on hospice and the hospice staff does a great job communicating with administration to make sure the aides are properly trained in caring for her. The care staff does a great job in responding to our requests.

The value is comparable to everywhere else. The new management was excellent. Rob communicated and returned phone calls, and Diane, the business manager, was excellent. She was just on top of everything. Lupe in dining seemed to be on it, too. She was really communicative and did a good job. Mindy, the activity director, was excellent. My mom was happy with the activities. Lorania was one of the med techs, and she was excellent. She would call me right away if something was amiss. We moved her out because she needs more care than just assisted living, but it was hard to take her out of there because they were like family to us.

The facility is really clean. They just redid all the flooring, and it's all really nice. It is a nice, cozy atmosphere. What she's paying is excellent for what she's getting. The activity director is good. She has never complained about not having anything to do. She is very active, and she only has positive things to say. I know she likes the dining selection - she's never complained about it once. When I've been in there it's been fine. The staff is friendly. We've had a really positive, good experience.

I would absolutely recommend this facility. The dining staff is good at being timely and the food seems to be fine. The activities staff pays special attention to everybody and they play a lot of games. My mom's room always seems to be clean. I have never seen her laundry basket get too full. The caregivers are awesome. Everybody tries very hard. They do a very good job. I am very grateful for the care that she is getting.

I talked to a couple of people and they highly recommended it, so I moved my mother in. The management staff has been super nice, super good and super helpful. It really looks like they have some good things going on there, in terms of activities. They seem to be doing well with the housekeeping. Everything is really nice with the building.

As far as the value to services, I don't know. It's a decent place. My mother has a nice room and nice people tending to her. I've called the management staff and they're responsive. The aides do an exceptional job. They rotate a lot, but those that I run across are very good. The apartment maintenance is good. And the grounds look good too.
