The Wentworth at Willow Creek

Overall I felt very good with the staff taking the time to talk to me and walk me through the initial legwork. There's a good atmosphere with communication which I appreciate. I feel that the facility is really well taken care of, inside and out. From what I'm seeing people seem to be pretty attentive to things. Yesterday I went to see her and she was in a gathering. My sister is definitely making steps forward to get involved in things. Kelsey and others assure me there are a number of activities going on. I feel comfortable with the price and I believe she feels pretty comfortable.

Management is really good. They are very forward with things that are going on. They contact me when Dad's having issues, like when he's not compliant with taking his medications. I only know of one activity my father has been out on. He seemed to enjoy it. Just getting out was nice. The caregivers seem to be doing okay. I'm glad they have a doctor on site. I would say he feels safe, and he must feel comfortable .

Kudos to the group of caregivers that work with these residents with such issues so graciously. They are so gentle, even with the mean spirits that I've seen there. Everyone acts out in a different way and they handle it graciously. They do not get angry or rough with the residents even though the residents can get rough with them. I've seen a variety of what goes on, and the staff is fabulous. In a place where everybody is in some sort of briefs or diapers, it does not smell and you do not see any issues. They treat the residents with respect and compassion. They have music or a show on or activities if it's not meal time. Some people participate and some people prefer to walk around. It's a lockdown unit, but the staff handles it very gracefully. I'm happy with where my aunt's at.
