Windchime of Chico

Everytime we visit my father-in-law the management has been on top of things. He enjoys the food and the variety of the menu. Everytime we go and visit his room is always clean. The housekeepers are doing a gret job and he has no complaints about the laundry. They don't lose his clothes and he is happy about that.The apartment is always well maintained and clean and so is the building. The care and nursing staff also get him his medication on time and they always check in on him. It's also nice that the doctor comes to see him there. All in all, he is being well taken care of at the community and I have recommended it to a friend.

Overall, the Executive Director and entire staff have been very, very responsive to me, and any questions or concerns that I've expressed, they've been right there getting me an answer. I can't say enough about the overall organization and facility.

Management met all of my mother's needs and they were available to for me to meet with them. They addressed anything that was a concern. I appreciated everything that they did for my mother. They were very good to her and she had a very pleasant experience here. The dining was great. It was like a restaurant and the staff was very attentive to each resident and asked them what they wanted. They were very caring and nice. There was always a choice of what they wanted to eat. The activities were great. My mother loved music and they had a lot of musical activities. They had a mini horse that came in to see the residents. There was cooking, art, gardening and they could go on field trips. There were a lot of things for the residents to do. The community always appeared clean. There were no odors and smells. The staff did a good job with keeping everything clean and tidy and maintenance were right on top of maintaining things and came right away if something was broken. I feel like for the money we got good quality care here. I was very pleased with this community. It was such a relief having here in a place where I knew she was getting good socialization and food prepared for her. It was like living on a cruise ship. It was lovely and a really nice experience. Being here in assisted living gave her a good quality of life for her last years.

The value of this community is good. I haven't had any problems with management. If I have a problem, I'll go down and talk to the front desk, and they take care of it pretty quick. I'd say we're pretty happy with the management. My father in law seems to be very happy with the food, and he's never complained. I think it's nice because they get to know the servers. In terms of activities, it seems like there's always something that they could be doing. The maintenanece team always seems to be very quick to take care of any problems. The building is pretty and very nice. They keep it very nice and clean.

We were treated with total respect. The management team dropped everything for us and set their time aside for us with no pressure at all. They answered all of our questions and were thorough. The activities are really over the top. They have a bus that they go on field trips, and they are having a blast. Every time I've been there, the place is picked up and clean. The care is really good, and my mom is enjoying the interaction. The building is great. It is in good repair, and I like it. The food looked good and wholesome, and my mom liked it. It is a really good value. I am appreciative of the staff at Chico. They have really made it easy for us and went out of their way for my mom 100%.

Everything seems to be going smoothly. The front desk personnel are nice and accommodating. The office doors have always been open when I walked by. For the dining, you can have chicken or hamburgers, and you don't have to have what is on the menu. The food is good and cooked properly. The place always looks good to me. The apartment is inviting, and I think the whole place is. The care staff has been very good. There is enough staff. They are accessible and responsive when needed. I have called before and can get a hold of them. For the money we pay, I feel like it is a decent deal.

The transportation has been wonderful, the care givers are very patient and responsive, and the maintenance is great, they helped my Mother move her furniture to her new room and it was perfect. My Mom loves it here!

The management has been very responsive the entire time my mom has been here. They do an excellent job with the housekeeping and laundry part of the operation. They have had some outstanding maintenance people since we have been here. They are very quick to fix anything. We are very fortunate to have Doug Kelly as the director of health and wellness at the facility. He has really upped the game of the medical technician staff. He and the staff have been phenomonal with the care of my mother and the administration of the medications that she has to get. That is the most outstanding aspect of the operation at Windchime of Chico.

The services she has been getting for the last two plus years have been excellent. I would say the bang for the buck is good. I've seen meals served a few times for my mom and it looks like it is healthy food and there is plenty of it. From what I've seen, I would say the activities are good. They now have a nurse on staff five days a week and that is nice to know. When there are issues with the residents such as my mom they let me know.

Everybody on the staff has been so respectful. He has nothing but nice things to say about people that work there. I’m happy if he is happy. For the peace of mind we have and the care he is getting it is worth every penny. I know he is happy with the food. He says it is good and there are choices. If there is something he doesn't like there is always something like a hamburger or sandwich that is available if he doesn't want the main course. I think all the servers are friendly and knows what he wants. From the schedule that I see when I walk in there is something going on every hour that they can get involved in. Plus you can go and pick out a book or movie. There are many opportunities to be social or not. There is no reason to sit around and be bored, there is a lot offered. He always has clean clothes. I think the laundry is great. Everything seems to be clean. Just having him taken care of as well as he is means we don't have to worry about it. Anytime he has had a problem or not gone down to breakfast they come and check on him. I think their response time is really good. They keep track of him.
