Anchor Bay at Greenwich

The management has been kind and friendly. My step dad loves the food and the service is wonderful. The housekeepers come in everyday and empty the trash and they take care of his laundry. The room seems to be clean and the towels are clean and they vacuum. They are redoing the whole community.

I have been really happy with everyone there. They have been so responsive to her, and even if there has been an issue, I have mentioned it and they have responded really quickly to it. I feel that they are very supportive of me as the relative as well as my mom. It's an expense but you have to weigh the price with the peace of mind that comes with knowing all of her needs are being met. So I would say that the value is pretty good. The staff there is very nice. They have been really good with my mom. I know she has pressed her button a couple times and people have come to check on her. The place itself is clean. They change her sheets once a week and they vacuum. Anytime I have asked them to check the window, they have been very responsive and the maintenance man has come to check. The servers treat her well and the food looks really good. She seems very happy with the food.

I'd like to call out and commend Darlene who mans their front desk and is the voice of calm in many situations. I think Amber, the RN who was recently promoted to take over all of nursing in the area deserves a good commendation. And Paulette, one of the CNA's is very good. Pat does a nice job too. The nursing care there has been very good in terms of the CNAs. They've taken time to go through things with me. I also have outside nursing and outside physical therapy that has been coming in. In terms of their responsiveness, they've been good. We've been very pleased with them. I feel like my family is listened to about the care of our mother there.

We're busy practically every hour of the day which I like. It's worth it to me. The food is very good and they try their hardest here. They are excellent at fixing things. The bus takes us out on shopping trips and to lunch.

Everyone is very respectful at the community and is nice to me when I go there. I feel very welcomed. They were very helpful when I was bringing stuff in and out for my sister. Everyone from the maintenance to the receptionist was very helpful. I cannot tell you how helpful they are at the community.

The Executive Director, Dawn, is terrific. Jerry, the maintenance man, is terrific. Helena is the head housekeeper and she made curtains for me for my windows because cold air was coming off the glass. The curtains work very well and I am very happy with that. Cleaning is top quality. They have quite a few scheduled activities and I do like Wii bowling.

I chose the community for my mother because of availability, condition of the building and the people that were there. The in-house maintenance staff is wonderful and the healthcare people have been attentive to her. When I reach out to the head nurse, they always answer my questions. I didn't expect she'd participate in the activities, but she does. She goes on their excursions, she loves it and the transportation vehicle is good condition. The housekeeping services come regularly and she says everything is wonderful during dining. Management is accessible, responsive and I feel comfortable voicing concerns. All in all, I am satisfied with the services and accommodations received. She feels safe and comfortable at the community.

They have quite a few activities. They have exercise. The activities are not bad. They come around every day and clean the room once a week thoroughly. They have a maintenance man here who is very good. Usually you just have to mention something, and he will take care of it.

Management is responsive and organized. They have very professional healthcare staff who are organized and follow through on things that are scheduled. The medication management is great. Everything gets repaired by the maintenance staff, and the building is satisfactory. The housekeeping is fine, and they come in a routine manner. Management is very responsive, accessible, and respectful. The dining, in terms of both food quality and menu variety, is fine. Overall, my mother feels safe and comfortable, and I am happy at the community.

We chose the community because after looking at it, my brother loved it. The healthcare staff is willing to help whenever they turn around and if I have a question, I get an immediate answer. The building is wonderful and he is very happy with the housekeeping, saying they do a beautiful job. I go over the activity calendar with him every night and I really do think they're well planned out. He is satisfied with the food and he likes that he gets choices. Everyone in management has been wonderful, going out of their way and paperwork was a piece of cake. All in all, the price is comparable to other places and with the people I have talked to, I am really happy. I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
