Applewood Place Assisted Living

It's really a well run place. The nurses are competent and kind. The outside is both, perfect and beautiful, and the inside is kept clean. Every time I go, the bed is made, the room is picked up and the bathroom is clean. They do a nice job of planning activities, like out to parks for various picnics. The food is well prepared, tasty and nutritious. In general, I am very happy with it and feel like she is well cared for.

The management team seems to be on top of things. They take phone calls and talk to you. If there is an issue they try very hard to deal with it. I think Natasha Hicks, the head nurse, has been very good. Jessica, the new Director, has been very good and is really on top of things. She has really been on top of things since this Covid thing has broken out I feel he is comfortable and safe and they have been very nice to him.

To me, it is a great value for him and it is a really nice place.We went and visited a lot of places and I saw the place and got some literature. Not only did I get some literature I went on a tour and I spent about an hour with the director for the activtiies. I got a fantastic feeling and thought it was the greatest place I had ever seen. Everything that we did was so in order and everyone that we met was great. I really enjoy that some of the people have dogs. He is a real dog person. The food is fantastic. Their menus were great and they even have selections besides what was on the menu. Every time we have been there the place is in order and emaculate. In regards to the care, everything seems to work fine and he gets his medications. I wouldn't say anything bad about the place.

The acitivites department does a great job with the residents at the community. The dining also does a great job and the food is excellent. This is one of the better communities in the metro area, so the services offered to the residents are good.

They seem to have a good quantity of events which keeps them active. The price seems to be in line with other memory care units but this community seems to be a little bit nicer.

Management is pretty good. My interactions with them have been pretty solid, and they are very helpful. The dining servers are doing really well and seem to be pretty good and attentive. My dad is very happy with the housekeeping. He says the laundry is on time every week, and they will do a special load for him if an accident happens. The cleaning is also fine, and the common areas are clean and well lit. The building is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The caregivers overall do a pretty good job, and I feel like they are pretty attentive. I know there are places that are more expensive, but there are others that cost less, so I think this is a pretty good value. This is a comfortable community and the staff really cares.

The management staff were responsive to my phone calls and were able to answer all of my questions. I think there is a great variety of activities and there are plenty for the residents to chose from. I am really surprised that dad has participated in several things, and he has enjoyed them. His towels and sheets are done on a regular basis, and his apartment always appears clean. I think, over time, dad is going to settle in well here, and our choice was the right one.

I looked at a bunch of places, but I thought this was the best place and it sure has worked out well. I am satisfied with the price, accommodations and my loved one feels safe at the community. The healthcare staff are doing a great job and any time I have had to call the maintenance people, they're really good. The place is spotless at all times. Overall, I am more than satisfied with what they do there.

Management is pretty good. The food is excellent and the menu variety is nice. They offer a lot of activities. His room is always nice and clean, and housekeeping takes his laundry and brings it back the same day. The maintenance is good. If he needs something, he is able to find a caregiver to help him. I have seen several places, and I think the price is right in the ballpark.

Management knows me and my mom by name. They are always very willing to help me out if there's anything I need. The healthcare staff is always very good with the promptness of her medication. They make sure my mom attends some of the different activities there and I know she enjoys that. The meals are well balanced and healthy and there is a wide variety of activities. Her room is always clean and maintenance does a really good job. I'm happy with the staff there, they really have met her needs and she likes it there.
