The Atrium at Serenity Pointe

It seems my mom’s getting taken care of really well. She seems to enjoy the food and mom likes to walk, socialize, and do painting there. Housekeeping’s cleanliness is pretty good, and the building is nice, very well maintained. It just seems like she's getting really good care there.

I think the CEO is doing a very good job. Most of the time the food is very good and I am pleased with it. The activities director seems to be very willing to present activities that most of the people would like to have. Housekeeping is very good. The person that does my room seems to be quite thorough and I don't have to remind her to do things. I think the maintenenace is very good. I think Gary is the best maintenance manager that we have had in the last six years. Overall, my husband and I are pleased.

Dad has been there over six years, and he is kind of a loner. But in the past couple of months he has started going to the happy hour on Fridays with the live music. It's greatly improved his outlook. I'm really happy after my last visit, he is happy there and in a good space now. I think the wait staff is great. A couple know dad, they make it homey and nice, and he is happy with the food. I am very happy and most importantly, my dad is very happy.

Management has been very cooperative with me, overall everybody is very nice and pleasant and seems to be on their toes. I think the activities are pretty good, they took her to the fisherman's wharf so they are taking her places. Housekeeping and maintenance are very good as well.

They have so much to do in activities it is unbelievable. They are well announced over the intercom and posted everywhere. The housekeeping services are fine and I don't know of any issue that hasn't been addressed with maintenance. He uses the transportation to go to Wal-Mart. The staff in care is all very caring and kind. He has balance issue and he falls a lot and rings his little thing and they come in. They will come in and see if he needs to go to ER. They always call me when he does and then we decide if he needs to go to the ER. The landscaping is just awesome. It is on a point going out to Lake Hamilton. They have it very secure where there is no way they can jump off in the lake there is a fence everywhere. There is dry stacked rock everywhere it looks like a lodge.

From the very beginning when we toured the facility a couple years ago they were very attentive to what my mom was saying and almost immediately started listening to where she was. They have been good about calling me and keeping me informed in her changes in behavior. They send me photos when they have a gathering. I am 500 miles away and it helps to keep me connected. The dining is like a five star restaurant. What I like is the staff knows the residents by name. They know what they like and how they like it. The cook will come out and visit with them and just make it personal. They have regular daily activities that mom participates in. My mother has dementia so it encourages her to socialize and not withdraw into her room. They do a lot of gatherings. They even brought in an Elvis impersonator one time. Her room is always very clean. Her laundry is always picked up and brought back to her. Since we are not there and she is alone there is a lot of things I can't take care of. I let maintenance know and they will get someone to go to her room. It could be as simple as plugging in a light fixture and she just can't figure it out. If mom scrapes herself they call and let me know. If they notice a change in behavior they will call me and tell me to put in for an evaluation. The care is very good. It is by far the best decision we ever made.

We have been here for almost five years and I think in terms of management, Jacob is fine. He comes out and talks to you. If you have a problem he has an open door policy. You can't beat that. They have good food here. They have two good chefs; one works during the day and the other works in the evenings. They have steak, to the tacos, to just about anything that you can eat over here. They have two entrees and four or five vegetables and desserts. It is a pretty good variety. We have been here five years and the little problems that we have had they come the same day. The microwave went out on us and they replaced it in two days. We are very satisfied with the place. It is a great place and there are great people here. It is a nice little community.

I think my dad's apartment layout is good it makes sense. I like the bathroom being in the middle. His living space is great and the bedroom is very spacious. The food is pretty good and the dining staff is really helpful and nice. I like the tablecloths, cloth napkins and silverware. That is nice. I think there are good activities here. The head lady in activities is always very nice. She is patient and works with dad and I really appreciate that. He adores his housekeeper. His place always looks good and they do his laundry for him. The workers in maintenance have always done a great job for me.

My mom's apartment is perfect. Management is always super helpful and super friendly. If they cannot answer my questions, they call me right back. She loves the food. She has gained about 20 pounds since she got there. This community has a big array of things to do and housekeeping is great. Maintenance does a great job and she adores Doug, the maintenance man. The caregivers are wonderful. They are so patient with her and call me or my brother with heads up on things. I rest comfortably knowing that her day nurse, Sherie is in charge. She is wonderful and I adore LeAnn. I am very thankful for all of the staff and the hard work that they do. Jacob, the new director has been very responsive and I couldn't be more pleased.

It provided everything that our mother needed and it also is very nice and it is well kept. You can tell that people are happy over there. The staff is really good to my mom. I am very pleased with the accommodations; there is a lot of light and it is large. The management is excellent. They have all been very informative. Everyone has been wonderful. They all stressed that if I had any concerns to contact them. They are all very professional. The food has been great. We have eaten there three times and it has been excellent service. Everything looks clean and is clean. Thomas in maintenance was great helping me get some stuff in. They always offered to help. If we needed help we got help immediately. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The care givers are wonderful and are very helpful. They have a good attitude and answer questions that I have.
