Autumn Green at Midway Village

I dealt with Melissa in management, and she was very helpful from the beginning to the end. She was very responsive and made the transition very easy. He seemed to enjoy the food, the community was always very clean and so was his apartment.

Housekeeping does an excellent job. When you walk in there it doesn't smell and the floor always looks like they have just been washed. My mother in law's room is always clean. The care staff makes sure to call us if she takes a fall or anything like that. The nurses are so nice and they try so hard with her. I think they are on the ball with that. All the staff is very nice, they let us in her room, they watch over her and is overall wonderful. She is happy and likes to sit in the courtyard in the summer.

When you have a problem, you can see management. Their doors are always open. The menu has a good variety and I like the Wii bowling they offer. The housekeeping is good and they come every other week.

I am going on my 4th year I Autumn Green at Midway Village and if I wasn't satisfied, I wouldn't still be here. I love my apartment and if you need anything, you can go to management and they will deal with it. We're provided with transportation services to go to Walmart, Jewel, flea markets and events. It's a nice building . The food is great because the person in charge of the kitchen takes surveys, asking residents what they like.

Mom actually likes the food, and she’s lived there for six years. I see the activities calendar and I think they provide a great variety, a lot of activities, and they try to encourage her. If I lived there, I'd take advantage of them. I think the housekeepers do a very good job. Given the brutality of the weather they've been having this season in Chicago, I have to say the maintenance team is excellent making sure the heat keeps working in each room. I am happy with the response time of the care givers. I do think the mangers try to stay on top of all the residents and monitor the staff. I am very satisfied with her accommodations. The value is very good, the price is fair for the service.

I think you get an excellent value. This place is one of the best places in the city of Chicago for residents that I have seen. They have done an excellent job in assisting us in taking care of my aunt. My aunt loves the food and she gets good service in the dining room. They do a good job with the laundry service. They come in get the stuff, get it washed, folded, bring it back and put it away. You can't beat it. The transportation is very easy to schedule and the driver goes above and beyond in assisting her. I get weekly calls from the nursing department. I get calls if anything changes or if there is anything I need to get involved in. They are on top of it and they are keeping me on top of it. This place to me is top of the line.

In the three years my grandmother has lived there we’ve gone a long way to make it homey, we're very happy with the layout of the apartment , it seems catered to her and allows the furniture we brought in for her. The food is okay and service is pretty good, always on time, always sere the residents in a timely manner. It always seems like there's something for her to do there. She was a librarian so she participates in keeping up the library. The activities there are one of the big sellers of the place, there's always something to do. She uses the transportation and she has her private care worker with her so it's been nice. It's pretty top-notch. The community only handles her medication. The Med Techs do a great job regulating it, it's one of the things I really like there. They do a great job making sure her medication is available and she takes it at the right time. It is pretty expensive but I have seen the change in my grandmother's overall lifestyle. She gets to socialize, and I have seen a significant improvement in her attitude. She has really turned it around there. It's a very nice place. They have gone above and beyond in many categories, taken care of our issues, and given us peace of mind.

I know my mom likes the food there. She gets a continental breakfast in the morning and a dinner in the evening. The housekeeping is fine; her apartment is cleaned a couple of times a month. My mom is happy with the work that they do. I am pleased that I know over the last year there was major repair work done on the elevators; that was previous a problem and they are ok now. Also, in the last year there has been some paintng in the hallways and that is all good. Overall, I ma very happy. The value is very good. I don't know what the other value levels are elsewhere. My mother just celebrated her two year anniversary of being there and she is very happy and the family is pleased.

We had heard a lot of good things about the community before moving my dad in and it was close to where we live. We found the price to be more than fair. He likes the food and is eating good. From the looks of the board they offer a wide variety of activities to accommodate everybody. The thing he needed the most was the housekeeping and it has worked out great. Every time we have been there it has been clean. The care staff has been very attentive to Dad's needs. The management was great about helping get him in here. We were under a time crunch and they were wonderful.

Autumn Green met the requirements we needed in terms of price. It’s a good value, and my aunt is comfortable there. The management person I interacted with was Melissa, the Marketing Director, who returns calls, spent time with us, she is wonderful. My aunt is pleased with the care givers. She says they're very attentive to her. My aunt just loves the dining. She talks every day about how great the food is and how nice the servers are. I have seen the activities going on and they do seem to be entertaining and well planned. She is very pleased with the housekeeping and the building is very well maintained. My aunt is safe and everything is moving along.
