Autumn Green at Midway Village

I was living out of the country when we moved my dad in there a year ago. When he moved in they were very helpful, the managers did everything they could to get him in quickly too. Dad loves the food and the variety they get in the dining room, and I think there are plenty of activities to do. The caregivers are awesome there. I think there's enough staff. Dad gets two blood sugar checks a day and his meds. When his blood sugar is running high they make a point of calling me. Maintenance is great, everything is really well kept. It's always clean, and everything works, especially the elevators. I’m quite satisfied with the cleaning of dad's apartment as well as the laundry service he gets. Dad is safe and comfortable there, the value is great, and he loves his view because he can still see the airport.

I've been here almost five years, and the price is okay. The administrative teams is kind and respectful, so are the caregivers, and they do help you. The transportation service gets me where I'm going and back and the activities are okay.

Things seem to be going fine at this community. For the most part, my dad is happy with the dining. There is a calendar of events posted in the elevators. Maintenance fixed his closet doors which was fine and they are in the process of painting the community. Overall, my dad likes it at this community.

My daughter found this place through our pastor at the church. The management staff are nice people, they look out for you and if you have any question you can ask any of them. They're very knowledgeable of this operation, any time you have a problem you can give them a call. The food is well prepared and they've got some good activities. It's always clean and they're doing a lot of paint touchups in the hallways and they're doing a beautiful job. I have a good view of the outside, everything is nice. The value is pretty good, I don't think it could get better than this, this is one of the finest buildings in Chicago and I've been to a lot of them. I've recommended it to people from my church and they should be coming over to check it out.

A friend of mine's grandmother is here so I came out to visit it and liked it, I liked the staff, they seem to be very attentive and look after the clients. My mom likes the other people that are here and the staff, they call me any time there is a problem and let me know what's going on which is very good. The housekeeping and maintenance have been very good, they seem to clean often. With all the care and coming in and check on her, they get her up in the morning and dressed when the home care person isn't here, take her to all the meals, the housekeeping and electricity, you get a good bang for your buck.

My mom is pretty happy with the food and dining services. The transportation staff has been very good to my mother when they have to go to different places. In terms of healthcare, my mom has trouble with her leg and they're very good about making sure she's sitting where her leg doesn't get cramped in. They're very kind to my mom.

The apartment that dad has was one of the reasons for choosing this place. I liked that this had actual separate rooms. Maintenance keeps everything looking clean and sanitary. The nurses on the care staff are helpful. They contact me every once in a while and keep me updated on the inventory of Dads medicine since we take care of getting that for him. We are just overall satisfied with the care and the facility itself.

My mom definitely enjoys the food there, she says it's good. She has no complaints with housekeeping, maintenance, or the activities. The management team is very good. The caregivers are friendly, respectful, and they make her smile. I'm in Washington, and I know she is safe and comfortable there.

My mom has lived at Autumn Green for over 11 years. Every time I call my mother she is busy, she always has something to do at this community. The food is excellent and the service is excellent as well. Everything on the menu is real tasty and there is a great variety of things you'd want to eat. I've never seen anything broken or damaged. My mom doesn't have to wait on getting anything fixed around there. I hope they keep up the great work!

Management is usually very responsive and helpful. This community keeps the residents very active and post what kind of activities they are going to happen and they try to get the residents engaged. Maintenance is generally very responsive and helpful. If there are any problems in the apartment they try to come right away. My mother speaks glowingly about the transportation. The vehicles look well maintained. The aides and nurses are very well received. She has an extra service where the aides come in and remind her to tak her medicine a few times a day. I hope they keep up the good work.
