Autumn Green at Midway Village

For what my mother gets, it's a tremendous value. It's very spaceous, she is very comfortable and between the windows there is plenty of light and ventilation, so it's great. Management always answer any questions and always go out of their way for any request, so I keep telling her how lucky we are to have got her in there. The food is of good quality and they're ample meals, there are plenty of outings and stuff they can sign up for and it is spotless, my house should be as clean as that place is. Regarding care, the healthcare staff is excellent and they take initiative. If there is ever any question or that they're going to have shots available, they ask if my mother wants any so they're on top of things. I have recommended several people to the community because it's a difficult time when you need to relocate someone to a community like that so you rely very heavily on friends, family and recommendations so I think the community is wonderful and absolutely amazing.

I chose Autumn Green because this community was highly recommended to me not only by the website but by five character witnesses that I knew in Chicago. When we moved in, the place was clean. Management has done everything they can to help me and in some cases they've gone out of their way to assist. Transportation makes an extra attempt to get in touch with you to schedule trips. They set up special activities and trips to Walmart, Target and all different places. They do that pretty regularly in addition to movie nights and other activities. My Aunt says the food is good and when you go to a facility like that and most of the employees eat there too, that speaks highly of the place. You're getting everything you're paying for plus more.

My mother lived there about three years. The activities are pretty good and housekeeping was very good. Laundry was very nice, and the housekeepers were very attentive when cleaning. So we were really happy with that. She had a couple of issues, she let the front desk know, and Maintenance was there within one day and fixed everything. The building is very nice, it's in excellent condition.

I am very grateful to the nursing staff in particular and the people at the desk, they all work very hard and are all trying extremely hard and try to accommodate me when I need them. I think overall everyone seems to be very pleasant. My cousin loves the activities that they put on like the movies and music. He also quite enjoys the religious services and prayer group. I think the laundry has been fine, we really haven't had any problems in that area. The maintenance department has been very helpful. The care services have been great and are very patient with him. I do appreciate everything that they've all done at the community.

My dad really enjoys the activities here, especially the outings. He goes on most all of them. The service you get in the dining room is good as is the food.

I think my mom likes it well enough. A lot of times they've had barbeques and my mom seems to like that a lot. Some things with the food they do really well and she seems to like it. I think they have a lot of great activities, for example: She was heading up a library committee there because she was a librarian, so she enjoyed doing that. The building looks good and smells good. For where she is I think it's been a fair value.

I think it's a good value. I sleep much better knowing that there is a mechanism in place that will track her every morning and if not there will be eyes on her. That is very comforting to me. I think it is a secure enough building and very clean. I am very thankful that she has community to fellowship with, commune with, and dine with. I am pleased with all of that.

The building looks okay. The driver there is a great guy. We have no problems with that at all. Care services are fine. I think it's been a good experience.

There are a good amount of things going on from what I've seen. The people are great, there's a Daisy and an Antonio that are very helpful. My mother has a walker and a scooter, someone always helps walk her to her table. They are very attentive. Everyone there has been extremely helpful. The new director is very communicative and accessible too. All in all, I think the value is good for what she is getting.

My father recently had to move out of the community due to a need for increased care. While he was there I must say, dining was great. They tried to keep him engaged with the activities that were offered. Any time I told them about issues in his room, maintenance came in and handled it quickly. The reason we chose to take him there in the beginning was because of the way the building was kept. I think the care staff worked really well with him. The nursing staff was very approachable and they really tried to work with him. They called us to let us know what was going on with him. The floor staff was excellent. It was a great experience for him.
