Barrington of Oakley

The management that is there now seems to be sound. They do have people that come in to play music and they do absolutely love music. The exterior is absolutely beautiful and they keep up with the landscaping, flowers, etc. When you walk in to the main room on the first floor, it's beautiful and looks like a club house. When instances happen where my sister falls, I get a phone call immediately. We have had our issues, but it's been a good experience overall.

It's a beautiful facility, everything is always kept clean. Everything is kept up with, I think they have a wonderful staff there. Linda is the one who interviewed us and gave us the tour, she's very approachable. I see her out talking to the residents, they know who she is, she's very friendly and approachable. Then there is Casey and same with her. I can't say enough good things about Casey. The front desk has been wonderful. Everything is wonderful. My mother loves it. They have an awesome staff there that really know the residents.

We felt the Barrington was a more comfortable fit for our parents in terms of the staff and the clientel there. It was very welcoming and they seemed to fall in love with it immediately. My dad thinks he's on a cruise ship and loves that he gets 3 free meals a day. The dining staff are so helpful, considerate and know what they need.The management staff was very quick to answer our questions. Their turn around time seems to be good in terms of what we requested and they seemed very inviting and knowledgeable. The activities are well displayed. They're posted in the lobby and in the monthly newletters. They're in a better place now.

The care staff is very good. Maintenance is good; they have an excellent maintenance man. They seem to have plenty of activities and they seem to have good entertainment, they bring people in. They have shows and things to keep them entertained, so it's good. The management is always on top of things there. The two people I know at the community feel extremely safe and comfortable.

Management is usually very receptive and helpful. The people at the desk are always very friendly. Dining does an excellent job getting everybody's plates to them and helping people who need help. Their activities are really good. They have a lot of activities and try to keep people engaged. I have been impressed with the drum circle they have. They really try to keep the residents active. Maintenance has been very good. Recently my mother was in the hospital and when she came back she needed a hospital bed. They were very prompt in getting her old bed down and her new bed up. The building looks great. It always looks taken care of and nice. The care is excellent. It is fairly likely that I would recommend it. In fact, I have already recommended it to people.

I haven't eaten there in a while. My friend says good things about it. He enjoys the activities and the housekeeping is pretty close to perfect. He hasn't needed any maintenance work recently. He's been there for over 4 years; I think we got all the kinks worked out. The caretakers have always been around and give me a call if they have any questions about his health. It's a very nice place, he is very happy there. He loves all the staff and says everyone is very helpful.

Maintenance responds in a timely manner. I think it looks wonderful, I think they do a really good job of maintaining the outside and inside. I think they try and do a little of everything activities wise, they have outings, do special socials, so I would say there is a good variety. The management team is very responsive, they pretty much have an open door policy and if there is a need they address it right away. They're open to suggestions and whatever we need. They're very attentive and sweet with the residents, they know all their names and know what they want before they ask for it so that's really nice too.

I chose the community for my mom because everybody seemed friendly and competent. It was attractive and close to my home as well. Everything fit into place. I think they have a nice variety of activities to do. The personnel in the dining room are wonderful. My mom has commented that they just notice if she has a problem pushing her chair in. I mean, they're right there to help her. Their maintenance person is top-notch and very friendly. The care staff comes, they're sweet to her, and they help her when she needs something. They're sweet. I've just been very relieved and happy about it.

I think the management staff wonderful and they were great in helping with the transition when moving my parents in. The staff is top notch. My parents love the dining. They choose what they are going to eat the day before and are very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the staff. Maintenance was wonderful. They helped set up the TV and cable. They worked past 5pm on a Friday. They were spectacular. The care staff seems to be very proactive, informative and professional. It has been great and my dad is actively recruiting people to come to the community.

Everything seems to be clean when we go in, we have no complaints. I think the people that serve in the Memory Care unit for dining are friendly, nice, and considerate. The people that they get in the Memory Care unit, most of them know how to be with Memory Care residents for activities. I think it's a high value and we are very happy with where my mother-in-law is at.
