Barrington of West Chester

They take care of everything. I think it is a good value. The place is so efficient and well run. It is a good team, and they all work well together. Even the dining room is run well. There is always something going on. They have light entertainment, cheer volleyball, and the movie theater. When something needs to be done, it is going to be done right. Maintenance responds very quickly. They are caring people. You couldn't go anywhere and find a more caring staff. I am just so happy that we found it. We are very happy there.

The staff is all wonderful. I met with the head nurse several times over some concerns. She was always available. When I needed a care conference, they were available. They were so easy to work with. The regular nurses that she worked with treated her like she was their mom, and you can't ask for more than that. The two drivers that took them places were awesome. The building was of excellent repair. I didn't have any complaints with maintenance. If we needed something, they were there. The lady that did her sheets and cleaned her little apartment took the time to talk to her and find out what she was interested in. She was always very sweet. The activities were awesome. She went to the ballet and they went to plays. The food was very good. I felt like they went the extra mile to find out what they wanted. They had a lot of choices. The management team was great with my mom. They all knew the residents. They went the extra mile every single time. They cared for the family and the residents. It was the best place that we've had her in. They give a homelike setting where the residents are safe. It's unbelievable. She loved it. We were extremely pleased with the whole experience there.

Dad is happy, and they take care of all of his medical needs. Actually, he has never been healthier. Those girls keep my Dad in check. They are always going in and making sure he has taken his pills. If he hasn't, they track him down. Every time I have gone there, housekeeping has his room looking pretty good.

The director knows her job and she is a very nice person. The maintenance staff is very knowledgeable and quick to handle requests. My housekeeper is very good and she comes once a week to clean. The activities are very good and they try to please everyone. I also have a very nice apartment, so overall, I feel comfortable living at the community.

From top to bottom, the cleaning crew, maintenance crew, the gal that sits at the desk, the activities director, everybody there seemed to genuinely care about the residents. Anytime there was a request for minor service it was swiftly and promptly taken care of. I am totally satisfied with the level of care that she got. I was just overly impressed and would recommend it to anybody.

Andy, the maintenance man, is a tremendous person. If we have an issue, it is taken care of. The building is in very good shape. The activities are absolutely incredible. There's something for everyone. The dining is excellent, and the fact that we have three choices for dinner is an excellent thing. I'm very happy with the whole place here.

My sister really enjoys the entertainment they get in there, every other day they'll have someone play an instrument or something. She's really enjoyed that and speaks very highly of that. Housekeeping is very good, her apartment always looks to be in good shape. The healthcare staff seem to be very attentive and very caring, it's been nice. I feel that she thinks they're more of a friend to her than anything else and that's a good relationship for her.

The management is on top of problems. The food is good. Her apartment seems to always be clean when I go over and trash is always taken out. Maintenance has a lot to do but always get it done in a timely manner. They always keep the place neat and clean and in good shape. I feel it's a fair price and what she gets is good. She is very safe, very comfortable there.

The homey-ness of the community, it's small but big enough it's right and not sprawling, is a good fit for mom. From what we have experienced the managers are just awesome. My mom is a very picky eater and she likes all the food so far. There’s plenty activities to do and good variety. Maintenance was good getting her apartment cleaned up and set up. New carpet, cabinet repairs, paint, and all was taken care of. She loves her apartment and loves to be able to sit on the balcony. My mom loves the care staff, doesn’t have anything bad to say. I would say the value's really good. She is in a good spot, she's getting comfortable, her peace of mind and happiness goes a long way.

Management and caregivers have been good and they are real friendly with everyone. The food, dining service, activities and housekeeping are good and the grounds are well kept. Transportation is also good and we have a brand new bus.
