Barrington of West Chester

I love it here. I think it's an A1 place with excellent facilities, excellent care and wonderful management. The activities are varied, they're excellent and first class.

The whole staff from Lisa to Janey, all of the nurses, Jessica the head nurse is great and all of the aides are fantastic. They all really treat my dad like family. My dad's main aides are Maracia and Tae and they do a great job. They do a great job with the housekeeping and laundry services. They also do a good job in the dining room. The whole place is great.

The policies put in place seem to be just fine. In terms of the staff in the kitchen or the staff that wait the tables, my mom is very pleased with them. They are very accommodating. There are a plethora of activities and they are very diverse. They include the trips out as well. The facility is clean. In terms of housekeepers, she has a lady come in once a week and she is very happy with her. Regarding maintenance, every once in a while mom asks Andy to come in and fix something and he is usually very quick. She occasionally goes on the bus to Kroger and she has been very pleased with the lady that drives and she helps carry her groceries. As for her apartment, it's small, but it is well thought out.

We like our apartment and we are very good here and would recommend it to anyone. I think the management is very good. The food is good. Housekeeping here is excellent. We have a great housekeeper. She comes in every week and really takes care of things nicely.

I am satisfied with the services and accommodations my mother-in-law receives at Barrington of West Chester. Management is nice and everyone has been really receptive to any concerns we've had. When she first got there, they worked extra hard to make her feel at home and make us feel confident that she'd settle in eventually, so everything has been great as far as management goes. I think the dining is fine, the service in that department is great and as far as I can see regarding housekeeping, everything seems to be clean, with her laundry being satisfactory. When looking at maintenance of the community, I am satisfied with both the apartment and building maintenance of the property. She doesn't need any extra help right now, but the Nurses are very nice when she goes down for her meds and if she doesn't remember to go, they call her, so there have been no issues. Overall, I'd say we're pretty pleased with the community.

The staff were always helpful when she was there and we got to know the staff pretty well. I think the regular cleaning was really good and the maintenance was great. The care givers were always keeping me informed about what was going on. My mom was well taken care of in the time she was there.

I really am satisfied with Barrington of West Chester because it's close to my house and I can get there in 10 minutes if I am lucky enough to get a green light. So far, it's going well for my mother and if she is happy then I am happy she is there. She has had no complaints about the food and when I ask her every day what she eats, I am generally surprised because it's very well diverse. Management has been respectful, accessible and responsive, so I have no problems with them at all. The first couple of years she was very involved and active in the activities that are provided at the community, but she is 96 years old now and still occasionally goes to the music. The housekeeping is excellent and she mentioned with her laundry one day last week that a staff member helped her pick up the clothes that were laying around, so she likes her very much. Maintenance wise, I marvel at how pretty the grounds are in the Summer and Spring, and they also decorate the lobby for seasons, so I really can't think of anything I would complain about. She gets her hair done, which is convenient for me, there is lots of parking and the community is attractive, so there isn't anything I would change at the community. Overall, she is 100% content.

The front desk does really well with assisting us. The food in dining is very good when we have joined my father-in-law. They have a good variety of activities. They offer a lot of things and trips outside of the building. The staff personality wise is good with everybody there. The nurses with the care staff are very good as well.

Management is efficient, friendly and helpful. I think the activities are good and they have a nice variety, stuff that a lot of people do take part in and they have good people in charge. The housekeeping staff is very efficient and helpful and the transportation services have been very good. I haven't needed to use the care staff but they seem to be handy and right there, they take care of the people that need to be taken care of.

When I first came to Barrington of West Chester, it was $3500 a month and there is a lot that I am getting for money because in another place it'd be $7000. Management has been terrific. They're friendly, always glad to help you and if I get a package after hours, the girls at the desk gets a cart and delivers them which means a lot to me since it's hard for me to get around. I think the menu is terrific, they have to please people from all over the country since their kids visit here and you get 2 choices of this or 3 choices of that. The housekeeping lady is a good friend of mine and I have become friend with all of them, so I look forward to her because she is always interested in what I am doing. The maintenance is terrific; we have a maintenance man who is so pleasant. The Nurses are respectful and I like it here. I made the decision to come here and I think it's terrific, all 5 of my kids are grateful that I am happy, so everything is just really great.
