Barrington of West Chester

Since being here I guess it is comparable to other places; I like my apartment. They’re very, very nice in the dining area; they're always very courteous and accommodating. Housekeeping does a good job and is always accommodating, it always looks nice. I've been very happy here; it's a very nice place.

I participate in a lot of the activites they have here. The entertainment is pretty good most of the time. I very much like the person that does the cleaning in my room all the time. If you have something wrong the maintenance team will fix it right away.

After being there for seven years, my dad loves it there. The caregiver team knows everybody so they know what their issues are. If he's worried about his blood pressure he can run down there and they take a reading for him. Dad's still independent so they don’t come to his apartment and provide services, but he's down the hall from the nurses’ station so if he has an issue he can walk on down and they address it. The management team in front is just wonderful people; they interact well with my father and the other residents. From what I've seen, the activities offerings Barrington of West Chester has are excellent. I've seen the calendar and the flyers on the door, and it all looks like fun stuff. The maintenance team does an excellent job. It's nice that they change light bulbs and all that so dad doesn’t have to try and do that. The laundry service is excellent, and he's very satisfied with the food and dining team. For dad to have a full kitchen, the apartment is wonderful. He's safe and comfortable, and my father seems happy with Barrington of West Chester.

I have lived here for over five years. Overall, I think the staff does a good job with the services here. I feel like I have stayed healthy since I moved in here. I think they do a good job of keeping the whole thing clean. The lawns and everything; they do a good job.

We moved into the Barrington of West Chester earlier this year and I can say we're satisfied with the services provided. The food in general is good, the menu is wonderful and the preparation is good, so we're satisfied with dining and my wife is very happy with getting out and going to places, so the transportation has been good too. My wife also enjoys Bingo and the Happy Hour is a terrific aspect that I enjoy myself because we can share and spend time with different people, so the entertainment they have is pretty good at the community. Maintenance replaced a lightbulb for us being very prompt and of no inconvenience whatsoever, plus the building looks terrific so we're satisfied with their consistency and are overall happy at the community.

I have been to other communities and Barrington of West Chester is very high on the scale in terms of services and accommodations provided. Any time that I have had a problem, management have resolved it promptly. We're satisfied with the service in the dining hall, the housekeeping is good and building looks great. With regards to care, the healthcare staff are on top of everything and if anything happens with him, they call me so we have been satisfied with our experience at the community thus far.

My step-dad has lived at this community since February 2018. The accommodations at this community are nice. My step-dad loves his apartment. I have gotten to know the ladies who work up front very well. It is a joy to see them and we have a very good relationship. The servers in the dining room are always very caring and helpful. I have seen the food and it looks great. The housekeeping departments seems to be fine. Andy, the maintenance man, does a great job. I tell the front desk if anything is needed and within 24 hours, it is taken care of. There are three or four aides that are wonderful, know my step-dad and do a wonderful job. Carol, at the front desk, is the most careful, concerning and wonderful person I have met. I leave with a smile on my face everyday because of Carol.

I like it very much, it has everything he needs. They were able to get my dad a first floor apartment which we very much appreciated and they were also able to get him a seat in the dining room that was close to the door so that worked out well and was very nice of them. They're always very friendly and helpful to my dad, they're very attentive to the people. That's one of the things we like the most about the Barrington is all the activities that they offer, I like the girls who run the activities, they're very nice and care about the people. My dad loves the food, he says they have a nice variety of food and he always says it tastes good. My dad loves the fact that they have the main lobby area, he was at another place before he came to the Barrington and he felt so isolated and alone, the fact they have the main lobby where people gather and do Happy Hour, it just means the world to him, he loves that. He can go down and talk to people in the morning, we really like that set up. I think it's a good price for the services.

I moved into this community in August 2015. Management is always so helpful to me when I have needed something. They are very friendly. The quality of the food is very good and I am involved in all of the activities. Housekeeping cleans my apartment just like I would. Maintenance comes almost right away. The building is beautiful and the outside has beautiful bushes and flowers. The transportation has been just fine when I have used it. My husband was recently sick and the caregivers took good care of him.

I feel like the management staff do their job and try to deal with any aspects of the individuals that are living here to resolve issues. I use the tranportation service to go to Walmart. They do a good job taking and bringing you back. They have a variety of things to do as far as if you want to play cards or board games. The musical entertainment they have at happy hour is really great, I really enjoy that here. My housekeeper is very efficient. Not only does she clean the room but she tries to memorize the way and fashion that different people want things so she can replace them back there when she leaves. I haven't used a lot of the care services they provide here, but they seem to be satisfactory.
