Barrington of West Chester

I've been a resident here for a little over a year and a half now. The food is good. My housekeeper does a good job. Whenever you need anything done, the maintenance team comes and do it right away. They are good and take care of you. They make sure you get your medicine. I don't have any complaints with anything here.

Everybody that's in a management position is absolutely outstanding. The food is so good here I gained 20 pounds. I am absolutely enthused and enthralled with the activities. I can't think of anything I would want different here. I think everything is first class here. The maintenance is on call for anything and everything you could need. Tracy, who heads up activities, is wonderful. I go on everything that I can possibly go on. I go every Monday to lunches, I go to dinners they have, I go to museums, I go to symphony concerts. They come once a week to clean and do a wonderful job.

So far at West Chester the care staff have been excellent. Any time we go to visit it always looks wonderful. I think the management team does a pretty good job. The have always been prompt when responding to me. We haven't had any noteable concerns

The services at the Barrington are absolutely amazing. The activities are very good and they gave us a calendar right when we moved my friend in. When I walk in it looks like her room has just been cleaned and vacuumed. It's always very nice. Maintenance was very helpful during the move-in. The caregivers are good. I really have no complaints at all!

Everybody has been wonderful in terms of management. It was close to my house so that's why we moved my mom in. We've had no complaints with housekeeping or the care provided. The community supplies very nice services.

Stephanie seems to be very competent as far as managing the place. Whenever I have called in the past they called me back if they could not talk to me right away. They have happy hour every night which the residents like. They plan daily activities and special activities around holidays. His room and bathroom always seem clean. The housekeeping crew comes to clean once a week. The maintenance man is pretty available when there are things that need to be fixed. I have been happy with the maintenance. For what my uncle is paying, I believe it is a great value for what he is getting.

I am very, very pleased and the resident I look after is very, very pleased. She begs me to not move her and I'm not! I tell her, "You can't find any better." The caregivers go out of their way, they call everybody by their first name, they say good night, good morning, how are you. You should go over there you will not believe what you'd see. It really is amazing; it's one of the nicest nursing places I've ever been in. She just had work done in her room, her washer and dryer just went out, and immediately came the next day and put in a brand new one. You just can't beat them. They're right on top of things! It's a really nice place, it really is. It's beautiful. The housekeeping does a really good job, they just do her sheets. They make the bed, they change her sheets and clean the apartment. She's very satisfied and so am I.
They take them to go shopping, to go see movies, or whatever. They do their nails, do exercises; I mean you mention it and they've got it. I wish I was there. They've got it made! It's beautiful, it's absolutely beautiful. They go out of their way to take care all of the needs. Everybody's happy there, from the big shot to the little one. They go out of their way to greet, to do whatever they need. They're there to help them. I've never seen anything like it; they're such a wonderful team. I'm very pleased with them. Oh, it's absolutely beautiful. I would recommend it because I would go in. When I get older, I'm going in. If they're still doing the same thing they're doing now, I'll be in line. I don't think it could get any better than it is now, it's just wonderful.

Since moving my mother into the community the management team is usually accessible if there are any questions. The Activities Director is very good and does a lot of variety, mom doesn't participate as much as I'd like but it's offered. The housekeeper is also very good, and we have had no complaints there. I'd say that the maintenance and care departments also do a fine job.

I think that in comparison to similar communities the price is right where it should be. The staff has been fantastic so far. I think the activities are nice and we haven't had any major concerns about any of the other departments.

The staff is professional. They were great with the transition into the place and at explaining what the options were. They are responsive when we call for anything that we might need. I've always been impressed with the dining service. It's a bunch of young kids working, but they've always been great with the older folks. My dad does Bingo quite a bit, but I don't know what else he's involved in. It appears that he is getting his medication as needed and that the caretakers are courteous and good to work with him. I'd say it has been perfectly fine.
