Bella Vista

I think my mom is getting a decent deal. She has her own apartment. I like what it looks like. I wish it were a little more affordable, but it is what it is. Her view is spectacular. The transportation department gets her back and forth to appointments in a reasonable amount of time, and as long as she gives them a bit of a heads up, they have been really good with her. Any time she has had an issue, maintenance has come in and taken care of it. I have liked the menu every time we have visited her. I think she is very safe and comfortable there if she uses what is available to her.

We have a lot of contact with the receptionists. They are very helpful. The staff and service is great. They have great activities. Beth, the activities director is wonderful about inviting her to things and giving my sister special attention. She is a wonderful person. My sister is a paraplegic in a wheelchair and the maintenance staff is always willing to help her with what she needs. Some of the aides are great and go above and beyond for my sister. We have had our issues, but I would recommend this community.

It's a great place for my parents. Management has been responsive to any questions. My parents have had a couple of issues, and Maintenance has always been responsive. My parents are very happy with the housekeeping. Despite the few concerns we have had, I would recommend the community.

We chose this community for my mom because they accepted Medicaid. It also stood out because of Julie, one of the Directors, that gave us a tour. It was very comprehensive and everything she said ended up being true. The management staff always responded to all of our requests very quickly. Everything is very clean. The housekeeping staff do a really good job. They're very on top of all of that. The meals are good. There are good choices for her to pick from. Everything in the building is up to date and maintained well. I think overall things are going well. She loves the place, her apartment is very cute and homey.

I have lived at the community for five years now. The management team has always been accessible and responsive when needed. Maintenance does a good job, whenever I ask for something, they do it. The healthcare staff is there when needed and I always get my pills on time. I like the housekeeping they do a good job. Transportation is offered consistently too. The one thing is the activities are sometimes more catered towards women. It's a good place though and I really like the food.

We moved her into Bella Vista in September of 2017. The food seems to be very good and she has liked most of the food lately. There are no issues with the service; it's a really nice dining space from looking from the outside in. Activities wise, if I was there, I would be going to everything. She had her air conditioning fixed and they came when they got the message. I was there when the guy came that day and he was very nice. Housekeeping and laundry are offered consistently, which has been great. And management also seems to be fine from the outside going in.

The food is good; we haven't had any problems with that. Housekeeping is fine. The door came off its hinges when I first moved in, but they were very good about getting that cared for. We haven't had too many issues. I would tell people that it is a good community overall.

I was diagnosed with acute heart failure. At the previous community there were no elevators. The doctor said I had to do better than that, so moving to Bella Vista was one of the solutions. The management team has been excellent. They've been very cooperative. I have a couple of items to be installed which maintenance will take care of when those arrive. I would say they are excellent. They answered all my questions, were quite knowledgeable and helpful. It's been good so far.

I'm happy with everything and my dad is happy with everything. The management does alright. The dining has a good variety and it is fairly healthy. My dad doesn't participate in anything. I know that they have nice activities, but he doesn't avail himself. Maintenance is good. Overall, everything is fine.

The nurses seem all right to me, they're friendly. If I have a question, they have an answer. To me, it's okay, it's great. People are friendly and everything when I go there. I can't complain. I've never seen it dirty or anything. In my opinion, it's like how my dad was when he lived at home and he's happy that way. I'd recommend it there. The rooms are nice, it's really nice there. What else could you ask for? He's been there for quite a while and I'm satisfied with what's been happening. We really don't have any complaints. He worked there, in the hospital, it was a hospital before, and he was there for 31 years with Mercy Hospital. He's happy to be there because he knows his way around and he worked there. I made the statement before that if he had to go someplace else, it'd kill him. That's where he wants to be and where he goes and he's happy there. He doesn't complain about anything.
